You hit it right on the bullseye. It's truly such a shame. This song is so mature sounding and the perfect R&B infused hit. A top and hit-making song in all its glory. All their unreleased tracks are interestingly and factually their best work yet Syco/Epic purposely sabotaged them. You're absolutely right too. Their was this weird favoritism from the label for one member that was always odd to me because her talent is so non-existent to me. I don't get it. Each of the girls had and will forever have star-power. It baffled me to see the label restrict the incredible light of four members for one member and her "fluffy pop" sound. They saw the most potential in Camila as a solo artist because since the beginning of the group, she proved to be the most popular member. Epic totally took this group and threw it in the trash. This song wouldve been high asf on the charts. All these songs that were unreleased have one thing in common: Camila isnt the lead. This group couldve been so dynamic but they fully catered it to Camila’s sound: happy go lucky pop songs. Why would they purposefully split up something so great? What was the benefit of pushing Camila to be solo? I need ANSWERS
You hit it right on the bullseye. It's truly such a shame. This song is so mature sounding and the perfect R&B infused hit. A top and hit-making song in all its glory. All their unreleased tracks are interestingly and factually their best work yet Syco/Epic purposely sabotaged them. You're absolutely right too. Their was this weird favoritism from the label for one member that was always odd to me because her talent is so non-existent to me. I don't get it. Each of the girls had and will forever have star-power. It baffled me to see the label restrict the incredible light of four members for one member and her "fluffy pop" sound. I'll never forgive Syco/Epic for that.
They saw the most potential in Camila as a solo artist because since the beginning of the group, she proved to be the most popular member. Had they actually properly managed the group by releasing songs where the other girls got to showcase their vocals, Camila wouldn’t have stood out; thus, altering their plan. Camila’s success compared to the other girls stems mostly from their favoritism.

Camila’s sound appeals to children, while the rest appeal to adults. This song wouldve brought in SO many fans of higher ages. I like the album but c’mon, how did songs like “Them Girls Be Like” and “Suga Mama” make it on the album? Imagine if they had released “Who Can I Run To?”, “The Way You Look,” or “Boyfriend”?
