Hey! So I just wanted to let y’all know that I will be taking a break from vlogging. Transitioning home, while AMAZING, also has its challenges. I would just like to dedicate all my time and focus to recovering these next few days. Once I pick up the camera again I will definitely be addressing how my transition home has been. I feel that I am on the right track to recovery and I am THRILLED to be out of the hospital! I expect to be offline for a few days, but I’m not certain. Thank you all SO much for the continued encouragement, love and prayers. If I feel up to it, I will make a few posts on IG (@Chronically_Jaquie). Much love to you all!
I'm so happy you got to go home! I actually teared up, I have gotten frustrated because I wanted to go home from the hospital before too. I only average about one stay a year though, thankfully.
Hi Jaquie, I just wanted to thank you. I’ve had a wild few weeks with my own health (I’m getting scheduled for a partially sedated MRI as a precaution but no one thinks anything severe is going on and personally I think i have an inner ear infection and some overly tense muscles, oh, and an anxiety disorder), I’ve been watching your videos more over the last few weeks as your lovely bubbly personality helped keep my mind off all my stress and kept me smiling. I’m so glad you’re home and I wish you a speedy and easy rest of your recovery! :)
Aww, the way Harlow was looking up at you besides you was the sweetest! So many blessings and amazing things are ahead for you and your little family! Love and healing prayers 🙏💜😘🤗🙌🏻👏🏻
The title of this video made me so happy! My dad is always ending up the hospital and I know how painful it is for him and the joy when he can finally leave is just incredible for our whole family :') I wish you so well on this next chapter in your life and love love your videos and Harlow :') ❤️
I'm so happy that you finally got to go home! I hope you feel better soon, and I completely understand that you need to take a break from vlogging for a while.
I was so happy when I saw you cutting off your hospital bands on insta!!! Take as long as you need as a break; you deserve to have some time to transition and recover from the admission. Love you!!!
So happy to see you home! I can't believe it's been ten days. That was a long stay but sounds like you're right where you should be. Baby steps. You look really great. So sweet how sleepy Harlow was. Lol. Judd reminds me of my husband. He's retired Army and they look similar and say similar things, with their humor too. Mostly it's the little things he automatically does for you that mine does for me. He grabs food for us, he opens my drinks before handing them to me, etc. Oh and he loves Dr Pepper and will take a Mr Pibb if he has to. Lol. Enjoy your family and recovery time. We will be here whenever you feel you're ready to come talk to us again. Continued prayers and gentle hugs.
I am so happy that you are now at home again. Please take care and just rest and recover your surgery. I will be still praying for you and that you heal soon. Take as long as you need to get better and over the surgery and being used to being at home again. Take care and God bless you both lot's of love from me kelli xxxxxx
For a tv show, I HIGHLY recommend “Orphan Black”. I wasn’t sure if you would like it but when you mentioned liking the handsmaids tale I figured I’d mention it. It’s a long interesting tv show that I watched while recovering from surgery! Feel better
I was in hospital 4 years ago for five days because I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and when they said I could home I was so happy because being in the comfort of my own home I was so much more comfortable and could more sleep. Being home feels better after staying in a hospital.
CONGRATULATIONS JAQUIE!!!! I'm SO glad you are finally home! I know it is very difficult to transition home. I've had WAY TO MANY long hospital stays, and going from constant help to being independent can be difficult,. (I'm currently living in a long-term nursinghome because I felt like I wasn't able to take care of myself at that time. So transitions are east now. )
So glad to see the progress in your recovery and to see that you are home! I hope your recovery continues to go well, and thank you for sharing your adventures. I’m about to go to urgent care because my stomach is feeling so badly I haven’t been able to really eat or drink anything. Seeing this brought up my mood though. ❤️❤️
Yay!!! Just the news I wanted to hear!!! Take your time transitioning back to your home! I’m just so happy you’re able to go home!!! You’re the best Jaquie! Sending you thoughts and prayers to you and your family. Hope you can rest up and make a speedy recovery!! ❤️❤️
My bed is high up, to protect my ostomy, so I have a small grab bar that helps me get in and out. My mom when she had her’s a temp. She used the grab bar and step stool. I goes between the mattress and box springs with a long double flat bar. It also has a side pocket.
I haven't had Internet access since Saturday and I really missed your vlogs, I was anxious to see how you were doing! I'm all caught up now and I'm so grateful you're going home!
To prevent video from being too yellow, try adjusting white balance to auto. Also a lot of video editors have the option to fix the white balance even after a bad shot.
I am so glad that you are doing well. I was getting worried that something had gone wrong in your recovery, not seeing a vlog from you for a few days. Continue to heal and we will see you when you come back. God bless.
ahh that feeling and smell of fresh air when your between doors sitting in the wheelchair waiting for your ride to pull up is wonderful. i know the feel lol Glad you are home. Looking forward to seeing you after your little break. Hang in there
Yay!!! So happy for you!! And at 8:23 when Judd turned the camera toward the tv I thought Harlow was on of Judd’s legs and my thought was “Wow Judd’s got really hairy legs” then I realized it was Harlow. Makes so much more sense
The dilaudid will cause your blood pressure to drop. Mine is always low too, and when I am in the hospital and on dilaudid or morphine blood pressure drops. My surgeon and nurses all say that is normal. Glad you are finally home!
I’m surprised that they let you film in the hospital. I work in a hospital and there are signs everywhere stating no videos. Anyhow, stay strong and positive
i'm so glad to see you home! i'm glad that things are slowly getting better. i'm actually recovering from surgery though it's a minor one compared to yours... but i had a hiccup that has to be addressed so yay.... more doctor visits!!!..... X.x i have ONE more post op visit for this surgery before i go onto my next issue.... hopefully i don't have to deal with being admitted with the hospital any time soon with all of the flu stuff that's going around in mthe northern part of the state of florida.... with my immune system and how my body is i'd get it and wore a mask when i had to go into the ER this past week... X.x rather look silly and be safe than not be safe and get it.
I'm so happy you are home! Me too, I was just released today too. It feels so good to be home, I agree. Re losing stuff in bed. I use a clear plastic container and the remotes, tissues and all the stuff stay in on place.
Glad to see you home it’s always better and more comfortable in your own surroundings x I was just wondering if you have ever thought about having a gastric pacemaker for your gastroparesis ?
Glad you're home! Obviously it's up to your docs, but maybe it would be a good idea to not eat while having the pain and bloating you say you have? You can drink some apple juice so maybe sip on a Kate farms nutrition drink for the calories. This may help your GI tract heal more instead of putting more solid foods in it. Also, my GI gave me a tip for when I had trouble going up on feeds. Instead of going up by one ml an hour, (because she says that 23 and 24 mls) are basically the same. Go up by three or five. Then go down as needed. It helps get to your goal rate faster! Wishing you the best!
Though no where near as serious as you being in the hospital, I felt the same as you when I was stuck for nearly a day in Atlanta after visiting beautiful Florida last week. Home never felt so sweet!! 😂 Hope your transition home is peaceful!
🎉🎉🎉🎉WELCOME HOME🎉🎉🎉🎉....I said to Janience (I know I spelt her name wrong...I am sorry) that I hoped you were released soon and I thought at home recovery would be quicker...feel better and still sending healing vibes your way...prayers...and love...❤️💋 Btw I LOVE Dr. Pepper also...it’s my favorite if I am drinking something carbonated but it has to be diet...)
So happy your home Jackie!!! That’s awesome. And happy to see you all together at home. ❤️ Dr. Pepper and Root beer are the worst drinks I’ve ever had 🤢. Idk how people can drink that lol
Do you have trouble getting up and down the stairs when you're not feeling well? Especially when you're weak from fewer calories. Can Harlow help somehow? Glad to see you're home!!

Sending you healing prayers beautiful lady
You deserve to take a break. Glad you're home. 🤗
Judd needs to give conferences on how to be a great partner to a chronically ill spouse. Seriously. 🙌 Jaquie, you two are lucky to have one another 💓

Watching you helped me at my quiz tonight. I never would have got the answer narcolepsy if I didn't watch your videos.
