I disagree, i believe she has a more unique voice that could bring a different flavor in the last chorus, that is why she is assigned in the last chorus, most of the time.

I love how jeongyeon gets the last choruses and hate it at the same time because nayeon and jihyo is in the background doing adlibs. it's honestly annoying like it's jeongyeon's turn to shine but they outshine her because of their adlibs. Every twice's mv reactors that I watched, they always notice nayeon or jihyo doing adlibs and they dont appreciate jeongyeon's vocal prowess. Which I pretty much hated.
They never outshine her, never think like that, Jeongyeon voice is so distinct than any members, the composer know she won't overwhelming by it, so they put high notes between her to added more flavour to the last chorus

She gets it because her voice carries so well and it closes out the song so well, even though Nayeon and Jihyo often overpower her with ad-libs, her voice still cracks the barrier and you get a powerful yet subtle closer to finish the song.
Jeongyeon’s las chorus has become icon of TWICE 😍 I love whenever Nayeon and Jihyo singing first and second chorus, Jeongyeon singing last chorus 🤩 of course adding NaHyo’s ad lib 🤣 those songs always makes me fall in love 🥰 Tzuyu with Jeongyeon’s last chorus also make chemistry hahaha
same, just luv that how JeongTzu sound together, somehow these two voices combo just get me goosebumps everytime...
Jeongyeon deserves the prechorus and the last chorus her and Mina and momo needs lines like she had in TT

Last choruses usually need the most power and the most hype since it signals that the song is ending (usually). We can all agree that Jeongyeon has one of the most powerful voices in TWICE so it would make sense that she is the last chorus queen.
I have seen people say that whenever Jeongyeon gets the last chorus, NaHyo would "interrupt" and it's "annoying". They are doing their job, why is it annoying? Of course, NaHyo will scream at the top of their lungs because it is the last chorus. Imagine ICSM having no adlibs from Nayeon. It will be the same as the first 2 choruses as if there is nothing special for the last chorus. Now I know that there are other songs where it is static and the choruses are the same throughout the song, like Alcohol-Free, you don't hear Jihyo belting her vocal cords out at the last chorus. Well, because the song is laid back, it doesn't need the strong and powerful adlibs. It's like orange juice, it goes well with pancakes but tastes hideous with toothpaste. Not everything needs adlibs, it is just that Jeongyeon, who has a powerful voice, is being backed up by NaHyo's powerful adlibs. Nothing is annoying in that :).

i actually love it.. I'm a jeongyeon stan.. but I'm so proud of her whenever she do the last chorus and nahyo were doing the adlibs.. like girl.. how can your voice still stand out like that even though those two were the loudest members.

her vocal tone and technique is what makes her stand out.. like jeongie can for sure belt out ballad songs.. she's just not that confident..
i actually dont know how to perfectly describe it.. all i know is all of them have their own vocal tones.. but others belong in the same range at some point.. but jeong have this wide range of sort that is so flexible... and also makes her stand out at some point.. which is funny.. coz you'll think she doesn't match the group.. but when they sing together it sounds perfect..

I want to hear it from you guys. Do you really think that Jeongyeon, being one of the lead vocalist of Twice, didn't treat well as the lead vocalist of the group? For having less lines recently on their songs, and that everytime (not all, but majority...) she sings the last chorus of the song, probably there's a high note or adlibs that will interupt it.
For me, having high notes or adlibs in a song makes it more interesting to listen. You're like on a rollercoaster ride while you're listening to a music. The producers, composers, and the management feels that Jeongyeon's voice suits to the last chorus part, for having a strong and good vocals, as we heard since their debut until now. However, high notes and adlibs of the song found mostly on the last chorus or ending of it, for the sake of the song structure.
So I think Jeongyeon, and also the whole Twice, are doing their tasks for the sake of the flow of the song structure, in the songs giving to them.
This was my opinion so pls. don't be mad at me 😑

I'm an SNSD fan and now, Twice. But I can't help that sometimes I compare the two groups, in this case, their line dist.
In SNSD, I can say that they give justice to Seohyun as one of the Lead Vocals. Even if she doesn't have more lines but you can still hear her voice because she does most of the harmony in the bg or she does adlibs.
For Twice, it's obv for me that JY is not treated as lead vocals, she's more like a sub and it's annoying. I don't really agree to people saying "because her voice doesn't suit their concept" bla bla...nooo have you heard when they switched parts in Likey? Her voice very much fits the song.
And now in their most recent songs, their concept changed and it suit her voice though.
Not Jihyo or Nayeon's fault that they get more lines but the people behind, are they deaf?

jeongyeon really does fit the old bubble gum retro candy man twice sound very very well. there are some of her parts on b sides where she sounds so sugary in my ears that it oversweetens even sana's voice. and in the japanese even more. and i think she's the most comfortable and effortless with that pitch.
