I don't really like how the skit/show or whatever was so focused on gender norms and "men should be masculine" "women should be feminine" bullshit and how it's like a crime that they're pretty boys or something like stfu they're perfect the way they are. I just think about how insecure this must've made them especially taemin. 🙄🙄 like they hadn't even finished puberty and like people are out here criticizing them talking about how if they're 'manly' enough or not. I get it's all a joke and shit and Korea's conservative but like I don't care. It still triggered me and it just shows how so many country's societies are so ignorant and gender normative. People need to learn to be more open minded and educated and understand that in the end of the way women are women and men are men and it doesn't matter how feminine or masculine they are it doesn't take away from the gender they are born with or identify as.
Despite the flaws regarding sexual identity, it depicted the thinking of that era, Key questioned the "femininity" angle . . . it has moments that are classically funny
