That's a beautiful bowl you made, I like the color blue. 👍👍
Glad you like it! I mixed about 6 different variations of the resin before settling on the aqua color! Michael
Looks like a globe with the pearl making wave patterns
Kathy, that wasn’t planned ahead of time, but I do agree with you that it turned out looking like the Earth. Thanks for watching Michael.
The resin colors go well with the walnut.
Brad, thank you! I did a couple of mixed samples (you can actually see them in the video when I’m mixing the batch )and was going to go with a more royal blue, but I’m glad I ended up going with the aqua. Have a great day Michael.
Turned out great. Quite a departure in technique from what you normally turn.
Looks great! Great burl. Great resin edition. More please!
Billy, Thanks! And appreciate the upvote for more resin work! Michael
Beautiful. Definitely do more resin turnings! 😊
Thank you! Will do! Thanks for taking the time to comment. I will definitely consider more resin turning!
Love how the bowl turned out, you should definitely do more of these in the future!
That is fabulous!!!
Mindy, I’m so happy you like to bowl. And thanks for taking the time to comment. Michael
Wow absolutely stunning
Stephanie, smiles all around! Thanks for the compliment and taking the time to comment! Michael
The light blue pearl to walnut color combo provides great contrast. In lighter woods i find deep blue, purple, and reds excels.
Agreed! I had mixed six different test combinations to find a color that I like best. I debated going with a more royal blue, but ended up choosing aqua. Definitely want to try more of a red color next time. Cheers, Michael
You now possess the skills to make me a custom bowling ball 🎳🎳
Sure thing! Here's my guide:
Step 1: Find a magical bowling ball tree and pluck your desired ball shape from its branches.
Step 2: Capture a unicorn to assist with core selection - their expertise in magical spheres is unparalleled.
Step 3: Seek out the most elusive dragon for coverstock selection; they hoard the rarest and most potent bowling ball materials.
Step 4: Convince a wizard to drill the perfect holes using their mystical precision.
Step 5: Merge all components under a full moon while chanting ancient bowling alley incantations.
Step 6: Dip the ball in liquid stardust for the ultimate finishing touch.
Step 7: Test it out by challenging a genie to a bowling match - their cosmic insights will determine if your ball is truly custom made!
Remember, the more fantastical the process, the more legendary your custom bowling ball will be!
Great, Best, Today: Michael
Great looking bowl! Walnut is a beautiful wood anyway. Sapper, huh? You wouldn't happen to have been a combat engineer in the military would you?
Not a combat engineer! Sapper is actually my given surname. Thanks for the compliment. Take care, Michael.
Beautiful, yes the resin contrasts so well. It allows space for the eye to appreciate the wood. Well done.🦋🇦🇺
Cassandra, you obviously have a great eye for art! 😉 😉 thanks for taking the time to comment. Have a wonderful day! Michael
