Sorry if the video is a bit rushed, wanted to get it up by the end of the night instead of waiting until tomorrow morning to edit it. And thanks as always for watching, the support on the channel has been incredible as of recent!
Hello Sid - For me watching the UA-cam video on the night was great. Sat at home listening to BBC Devon for the first half and Strawberry Radio for the second: This miserable old git was jumping up and down, screaming for joy at 65 mins. Think people heard me half way down the street. County played really well, and sure they'll be fine on Sunday: Looking forward to the match. Got my ticket.... Reminds me of 30 years ago - Oldham Athletic vs Sheffield Wednesday for the old Second Division title: Andi Ritchie had a penalty to win the match on 90 mins plus 2 mins. You could hear a pin drop. Goal! Absolute madness - can remember it like yesterday. Was only after the match, I realised teenage County fans can't remember the football league days: County will do well next year, expect a bit better home football. Gone are the eight men behind the ball from the opposition? Enjoy the match on Sunday.
@@andrewplant2047 Personally, I’ve never seen us in the EFL and started coming in 2014/15 when we were in the National League North, so to see us back in the Football League after all these years will be amazing
@@SidFreeman0 The better sides in Division 2 will allow County to play football, keeping the ball on the ground, and try to break away from home (at County) or just beat County by having better footballers. So less of the ten man defenses, 6ft 6inch giants or matches of constant headers and booting the ball in to Row Q. Blackburn Rovers may be a tempting proposition for Dave Challinor and they'll be more option for him. QPR are a sleeping giant of London. He's right up to date on modern football style and seams to be an honest manager. So long as County keep to the same forward thinking, we'll do well.
Great video, thing I like a lot about it is seeing how youthful the County fans are up top of the Cheadle End. I'm 31 and have been through 20+ years of thin sliding down the divisions, maybe some of you up there in the Cheadle have only experienced County as a non league club. Despite this and with City and United, easy choices to support, just up the road, it's great to see you all making that choice to follow County and being so passionate for the club.
I'm 35 and I've been coming since my Nan (since she passed away about 2/3 weeks ago) she took me to my first County game when I got free tickets she got from her local school in Great Moor so we went and it's grown to season tickets every season till we dropped into the National League then North not had a season ticket but I've been back since and I fractured my ankle last February so I couldn't get a ST this season. I might get one next season again and I've met some great friends who are County fans and hopefully some new ones too :)
I’d never really considered that. I was fortunate enough to be watching County under Danny Bergara and Dave Jones when I was their age. That’s who County are for me but they’ve slid a long way since then. These youngsters have Edgeley Park rockin’ like it was back in the early to mid 90’s. Probably more so to be honest. They’re a real credit to the club. I always tell my mates that are solely United fans that other than the big European games and grudge matches, County ruined Old Trafford for me. If you want to know what atmosphere is, you go to Edgeley Park. They’re the ones creating that now. It’s a pleasure to see.
@@larrysellers7891 that's a good point. I'm 31 and was fortunate enough to see us in the division 1 days and seen the unfortunate slide since those days. The young fans now are awesome although they have a tendency to run onto the pitch at times I think they bring a huge atmosphere to the club that other fans of bigger clubs can't beat. United fans would moan about the state of their club now and why they probably won't cheer as much or as often but compared to county they have had everything on a plate. We have had true sorrow and now we are on the knives edge of finally being back in the football league and it's partly down to these young fans giving huge support at a young age for this club when they could easily support city or United. Credit to them all 👍
Great result, good luck against Halifax, hope you win I will be at Athletic Bilbao last home game on Sunday kickoff off at 3.00 I will be looking on my phone for your result. Wrexham must be kicking themselves that they didn't get off to a great start this season. Hope both teams go up. A credit to the conference. Great video enjoy Sunday.
I’m from Dorset and work in the Wirral once a month - drove over to watch county last night- my first visit and loved it. Best atmosphere I’ve experienced for years, decades maybe! Proper fans not plastics !
You should have been at Eastleigh away - 2hrs none stop sing song. And the lads played well - best game of the season (except Stockport County replay vs Bolton - possibly the best match I've seen on TV). I live Northamptonshire way so fingers crossed for Stevenage vs County next season..........
Respect from Scotland. Great to see County back where they belong. An old friend of mine was centre half for them back in 90s in the old1st division when Gary Megson was manager. Best of luck next year
Amazing footage of the county faithful on the march 👏👏👏👏played really well but like you mentioned better finishing ⚽ Crankshaw is the maun linked up great with Paddy got to start next game 🔥👏👏👏🥇🏆👌
So a win and one hand on the title let's hope we do this on Sunday (I do think we will) so I've got my ticket for Sunday and I'm not going to sell it to any, but I bet there will be many offers flying around incase people don't able to go, I wouldn't miss it for anything C'MON YOU SHAGGING HATTERS 👏👏👏👏🎩🎩🎩🔵⚪🔵⚪🔵⚪ btw loving your vlogs hopefully Sunday will be the last one of the season 😎
congrats on promotion. always remember that night in stockport 4-0 to wanderers but your football league now so well done. good luck in football league💙

Superb video mate! I also vlogged the game yesterday if anyone wants to check out my perspective of the game! All the best to County and hope you go up on Sunday! 🎩💙
@@SidFreeman0 Just like we did in 2005/06 when we needed a draw to stop us going down to the Conference (Oxford went down instead) we kept it at 0-0 and the opponents were Carlisle Utd and I remember we were in the RE at the time what a day when we heard the news
I'm going for a Stockport County 2 - Halifax 1: Crowd will be buzzing, the County players played really well on Wednesday and all will be good. Many of the County players have achieved promotion before and with the red card players back, we'll be fine.
Owain the reserve keeper halstead made some outstanding saves and kept it to 1-0 , the score line flattered Torquay , still got Sunday to come and there will still be twists and turns . Good luck 🤞

Did they? To be honest I didn’t hear them but the Cheadle end was very loud tonight nonetheless

Great vlog. Keep up the good work - The Sportsman.
Absolute limbs when that goal went in! The whole ground knew that 1 goal would be enough, Torquay offered virtually nothing all game. Onto Sunday!!
