hello chris sir, I wanted to ask you a question, like apple released M1 based chips and they are the best, so, why do people still buy these laptops , I mean why did you bought this laptop, asking out of curiosity
I really enjoy the Linux ecosystem and Ashai Linux for M1 isn't quite baked yet. There is no doubt why folks go with the Apple Laptop though, the power management, performance, and almost every metric is amazing. The only sticking point for me is I hate the macOS ecosystem. The look and feel isn't enjoyable for me and the walled garden is also a big turnoff. If you have anything go wrong you are at their mercy as well. I'll probably grab one second hand after Asahi Linux is finished, but I wouldn't bother if I weren't doing UA-cam.
@Ayush Tomar other than a few key pieces of software like final cut and OOB Adobe suite experience on MacBook. it dosent make sense for people who like to tinker. Then there is the unfriendly right repair stand from apple leaves a poor taste in my mouth. Most people want to play games on their laptop or computer which apple doesn't yet support in any meaningful way.
In the laptop space, there it can be really hit and miss on Linux compatibility and getting full use of function keys among other things. It's the main reason to go with a "Linux brand" like I mentioned in the video. It does come at a premium though, mainly because they can't subsidize their cost with bloatware.

Don't knock the Thinkpads. I've got 3... i7s with 64gb ram & 4k screens. Good machines. Ex-corporate machines pop up at bargain prices, hard to beat tbh. All running Linux and super fast.
tuxedo system76 or framework i guess are all great choices for opened minded users that do not like the hard lockdown most oems force upon their users.
Or is there a specifc problem with framework oder system76 i did miss?
I hope you're running an OS that's WORTHY of such a laptop.. ie.. Arch Linux
0:03 "i7 2700h" when I heard that I thought that was an used laptop from 2011.
I'd be specifically interested if you describe why it is Ubuntu LTS in the end, and not e.g. Fedora for the daily driver? I remember you liked Fedora :) I find Fedora more stable in terms of updating due to its release pattern.
I love fedora and hope it gains popularity. Ubuntu server is just so darn popular and why I used it for the base. Folks can copy the video a bit easier, but if Fedora keeps picking up users, someday soon I can swap back to it.
Can you make a full hw review? I want the Iris Xe model with 90Hz display and don't find any real reviews about it
Hi Chris, thanks for all what you do on your videos, i have a question please: can you please find us a way to add week number on Windows 11 calendar, there is no way to find a solution. Thank you Chris for advance, and can you take the challenge :). Thank's again .
THis makes me want to see if I can return my recent buy from lenovo... more bang for the buck here
Chris, how is the fan noise - during normal use (browsing or playing a video) and when you stress it?
ive been pretty happy with my G14 running fedora linux for gaming but my next laptop is diffently gonna be an Tuxedo
Looks like a white label tongfeng laptop. If so, there are quite a few resellers in US, such as Eluktronics and Cyberpowerpc. Great laptop, but keyboard anchor points are very brittle.
Nice laptop
Their notebooks seem very cool, but unfortunately they charge 99EUR to send to Canada, so I don't think I can ever convince myself to try their laptops 🙁
@Christitustech890 Spam?!!
Going with 64GB versus 32GB RAM is only 110 EUR extra according to their website, that's impressive.
I have heard the bios is superlocked down and causes issues unlike something like system76 implementation, what says you?
You would take that large a loptop to bed? You are even more of a geek than I am. My Lenovo X1 Carbon is as much as I would want in close quarters.
Where is your menu bar Chris? do you choose to not display it? For example when you were in Brave there looked to be no visible menu bar. I'm a Mac user but I really like the look you have in this OS, looks really smart.
Menu bars are easy to hide if you want and show again when you need them.
Not the ThinkPad X1 Carbon? I'm disappointed.
Wondering how you have kernel 6.0 on Ubuntu? Installed yourself or using a non stable Ubuntu?
How is the Blender3D performance on this laptop? I am worried that modelling simple scenes is a pain because of the lack of support for the intel iris igpu in blender.
I've seen monthly mortgages less expensive than Tuxedo laptops. Unless you're developing massive software infrastructure and architecture projects on a mission-critical, project-leading, professional level, I can't see spending $4k-$6k on a laptop.
How come you're using Ubuntu? I thought you liked arch and debian...
How did you do that browser customization? Is that possible on firefox?
Your neofetch indicated you're using Ubuntu, but everything I saw indicates you're use Titus-Debian. Did you just gut the Ubuntu and run a script with all your settings?
Which desktop environment is in ubuntu laptop ?
Hi Chris from Ireland love the Channel been following for awhile now but im in trouble and need your help. My problem is i use a PC dedicated to Music Production so i have it tweaked to my liking and everything is running great at the moment until i know a Windows Update is going to Feck everything up on me 'Once Again'
I have used your programme to differ updates but its getting close to a time i can't do that anymore. Is there a way around this? I don't need updates but i do need to go online to update firmwares for my drum machines and synths but other that that i use a Linux PC for online stuff. Hope you can Help Thanks Jay
Tomte = Santa Claus in Swedish 😃
hello chris sir, I wanted to ask you a question, like apple released M1 based chips and they are the best, so, why do people still buy these laptops , I mean why did you bought this laptop, asking out of curiosity
✨
which desktop env are you using?
Hey Chris ,
What will you do on this machine , that you wouldn't be able to do on a laptop 1000$ cheaper than this one?
In the laptop space, there it can be really hit and miss on Linux compatibility and getting full use of function keys among other things. It's the main reason to go with a "Linux brand" like I mentioned in the video. It does come at a premium though, mainly because they can't subsidize their cost with bloatware.
@@ChrisTitusTech well yeah it's personal choice at this point.Frankenstien still my choice ,i mean there's still a limit to much can these companies do with Ubuntu or Linux in general while keeping boundaries intact?they may as well roll out a distro to go with these laptops .😅
Keep data on it safe from US spooks.
I'm guessing idle temps are 100c
what compressor are you using for your voice processing (the one in the rack)
ART one I got off amazon for about $500. I'm not a huge fan, make the voice a bit too warm. I want a RME UFX+, but hard to find those in stock.
Hey newer sub here….what do you mean you aren’t using a desktop environment??
I'm not using KDE, GNOME, XFCE, etc. with their tools. Its just a window manager and I configure my display and other system settings manually in Linux.
Hello, I have a problem with my windows I updated it from win 10 to win 11 but now I don't have the calendar app anymore and I searched almost everything about it so can anyone can help me with this .... thank you for your excellent videos
The tuxedo website is half covered and you can't view unless you accept their cookie policy. Not the sign of an honest company.
You can get ISO keyboard on tuxedo, though.
Tomte=Gnome, get it?
Niceee
Tuxedo OS safe to use?
😴 this is me waiting tuxedo to one day ships to brazil.
what is the window manager?
tell u what, if i had 2500 bucks to spare id buy this. for now im moderately content with a dualbooted pavilion 15 ryzen 5
Is it just me or is their tuxedo website really slow ?
Does it run Crysis?
Hello CTT :)

Yes
