If I could give you one tip, just one, that will help you become an expert in any topic, pass your certification exams, and possibly even land your dream job, this would be it!
While I was studying for my CCENT, I remember watching some training, and it was Jeremy Cioara who said something along the line of
'If you want to understand something fully, you need to explain it to someone.' or something like that. So, that is exactly what I did.
I started writing my study notes and putting them into a blog. I thought this would help my studies and may even help some others too.
The beauty of doing this is that it forces you to fully understand a topic before being able to write it down in a simple, easy-to-understand blog post.
I can't tell you how many times I thought I had a topic nailed, and when I came to writing about it, I found myself learning so much more than I would have if I didn't sit down and write it out in my own words.
Whether you're just starting, looking to upskill or transitioning into a new field, creating a blog could be a game changer.
It forces you to learn topics thoroughly by thinking about the different aspects and the questions a reader might have.
Having a great blog gives you an edge. Not only will it show your technical skills, but it will show your passion and your willingness to go the extra mile.
