It is main question in my upcoming oral on 14th Sir Thank you clears everything which I want to and about composite GC sailing as well Wish me luck thank you
Himan, you can actually choose any interval of longitude (5 degrees is a popular method). Since great circle courses cannot be drawn on Mercator charts, the aim is to choose waypoints at close intervals and then transfer them to Mercator charts.
@@marcg1686 A Great Circle route on a sphere is just a fancy way of saying traveling in a straight line in reality. It’s theoretical. And if you understood the flat earth model, you would understand how the information Translates perfectly. Only one of us is well-versed in both the flat and globe models. So you should probably learn both sides of a debate before entering the debate.

Thank you clears everything which I want to and about composite GC sailing as well
Wish me luck thank you
Thank you very much..For thr first time, i am confident i now know the difference between GC and RL tracks..very beneficial video...bless you.
Thanks buddy, glad I could help. Please subscribe, share, like and pass it on to your friends as well:)
Watched your videos recently sir..very useful content in very lucid manner thanx a lot for your hard work captain will share with other groups. 😇
Thanks buddy, appreciate the feedback 😊🙏
sir can you do some SQA questions regarding the passage plan
Sir, Very well explained
I have a doubt about how to draw rhumb line course on gnomonic charts?
Hi, I am quite interested in Great Circle Map. Can we share information?
why do u prefer to take way points every 5 degrees when transfering to mercator charts

Thankyou sir
Attempt to draw a great circle route on a north pole azimuthal equidistant map. You’ll find out the routes become perfectly straight lines.
If any of this flat earth crap were true we wouldn't be using gnomonic charts.
Putz.
@@marcg1686 lol if the globe earth were true you wouldn’t need a cartoon for a profile picture
@@StinkyCashFlatEarth We use gnomonic charts to map arc lengths of great circles.
Any 'thoughts'?

@@StinkyCashFlatEarth So we live on a flat earth and yet no flat Mercator map projection is adequate for navigation.
Tells us all we need to know.
