Just rode a friend's f800gs off road and dropped the bike. This felt like one of the heaviest bikes I have ever tried to lift because of how far onto its side it rolled, and because of how tall it is. I've owned some very large cruisers, with 2-300 pounds over even an R1200gs. I could not get any leverage and ended up having someone help. I was really disappointed. But then I found this video, and once I understood some of these methods that you demonstrated, I can now easily lift any Adventure bike. It's always about technique. This video is one of the best I've seen on this subject. Thanks for making it!
This is one of the most useful videos on UA-cam. I love it. Been riding for 20 years and have never had to lift one luckily so this is all totally new to me. Hopefully I never need it
Guys, please try this somewhere safe first, in a controlled environment. I had to learn how to pick up my NC700X, fully loaded, in soft sand in the middle of the desert. Go to a nearby park/forest/whatever with a friend who will help you carefully lay down the bike and practice.
Yesterday i dropped my zx6r 200kg but couldn't able to lift it...I was confused...took my all energy to lift it up then didn't know the technique. Now i know. Another question: I was taking a sharp uturn on a street lane and at sudden it got dropped... what is the reason?
True. Many people who're complaining about lack of strength, or it being too hard I'm 100% sure there's some problem in their technique or body alignment. Unless one's starving or sick or have knee problems, no one should have a problem in getting bikes to stand like this. One should feel as if they're lifting it by their hips and legs, not by their back or arms.
It's just a question of practice. Just buy one, pray to get home safely and put it on the floor and practice until you make it and feel comfortable with it. Worst case scenario, if you can't do it while you riding, someone will probably help you.
I spilled my Tenere 1200 twice now... and panic always ensued... These heavy ADV bikes are designed to not fall apart when tipped over.. remember that. (hit the kill switch, however, because they still want to ride on their side). Thanks for reminding us... don't panic, your skinny-butt can lift a heavy bike.

Thank you for this advice on picking up a fallen over heavy motor bike. So many bike reviews talk the talk, but don't actually give a real example.

GREAT FUN TO LEARN FROM YOUR TEAHINGS WELL DONE SIR
Simply superb.... Real practical demonstration
Looks easy, but when I tried to do it, It was so hard
Practice with yo mama lol
Really 😂 today I was trying to learn bike but when I fall then I need to take help to get the bike 🏍 up I need to work on my muscles 😫
You are doing it wrong if it is hard. Use only your hands to pull. Don't use the butt to push the bike
No words are enough to thank you !
Subscribing your channel for sure.
1st like & comment. Good video.❤️

Strenght is nothing. Technique is everything.

very good if flat ground and not an incline that caused it to tall first. .. should still work; if in gear to not move.
does it matter if I turn the handle bar to the opposite to the ground?
Hi Dino hope you well, excellent video.Where are you based? Thanks
Can a kid somewhat arround 50kg pic up bikes like these .... I saw a vdo of a small kid lifting hayabusa

Very useful content
Thank you.! What a pro!
Superb information
GS with low center of gravity, can I see the same with a Tiger 1200.
Or a 1290 super adventure
Wonderful video... Dino
I don't even have a superbike 🤦🤦🤦🤦😂
Hahahahaha very funny
How about ninja 300 without real grabrail.. it doesn’t have something to hold behind
Super bro this idea is usefull to me
Will moving the bike around over there make it scratch
There would be scratches already if you got into an accident!
It's an adventure bike, it should have scratches
Look so easy but I think u need to wait after picking not to start engine because oil is on the side.
Thanks bro
how many of you noticed Sriman kotaru friend chaitanya
Brilliant
Very cool
I tried lifting like this today, couldn't do it. I felt so pathetic. To be fair I just realized I never removed my topbox 🤦♂️
