    Fuel won't atomize when you spray it against a wall, you're going to get uneven burning and especially if the air speed doesn't atomize all the fuel for you. You would have to build out directly from the port on the manifold with both injectors as close to perpendicular without any obstruction between the nozzle and the manifold. Like a "\/" while trying to keep the fuel as centered as you can while you dial in what angle and how the plug will face, and you know what I'm saying. I just got to the part where you guys put in on an engine while writing the comment, hah. Didn't think the engine would idle, just being honest, but it sounded like it was feeding fuel in drops rather than spraying it into a fine mist. We all need a little more injector...

    Game changer!!!!!! So just an idea from a car guy and your swoosh talk. A maybe idea would be to take that drawing snd 3d print a clear set just for injextor test stand so you can see how it is actually acting inside that tube. Granted can't be for car use but I will make it possible to see the flow of the fuel.

    The wall to separate them is a great idea. I would also suggest stippling the inside with texture somehow to retain the atomization and keep it broken up. Just a thought that ran thru my head thinking about Phong and how he stippled the old hot rod to improve flow. Super rad idea! You didn't fail, you just found one of the ways that doesn't work.

      Stippling works good in the main airflow. Any surface the fuel hits will cause it to de atomise .. This is where the ideas are needed . Ps just look how efficient direct injection is. The reason is the fuel is mixed so much better with the air . .

    So, the bottom tip has a “spray” pattern to it normally, right…?
    Now the bottom piece is added, the spray is gone or interrupted.
    How can you create that spray pattern now with the new piece.
    Instead of just a big hole for the fuel to go through.
    make the end tip create a spray pattern. Then your dialed!

    Getting the injectors spraying straight into the hole will probably help maintain atomization better, so try changing the injector angle.
    Maybe you can turn the adaptor into an injector nozzle itself to reatomize the fuel... Then the injectors could stay parallel.

    Damn, lets go Steven. Cool to see he's proficient with Fusion 360. The kids gonna branch off into PMI (Parts Maker International) if he keeps this up 😂
    I was thinking when I 1st saw the prototype the injectors might need to be angled to spray directly at the hole in the manifold, that would require a custom fuel rail to suit however. Think that would go a long way keeping stuff atomized. Just a thought if you can make this initial design work. Keep at it guys.

    So. Ive been thinking. You should make the bottom one a much smaller path to the outlet of the adapter. Almost like the twin hole toyota injectors if you have seen them before. Then the transient throttle stuff wont be such a lag for it to get out. Like make two 3mm holes to the tips of the injectors and dont go from Tiny injector tip, To large orifice then back down to the small tip. Just go Tiny injector tip, 3mm tube from tip, To one side of the outlet of the adapter. What Jamie said with a wall is a good idea. But remove all that area and ability for it to go anywhere else.

  • @bzrker1300
    @bzrker1300 10 годин тому

    Great 1st iteration of a prototype. I do have some concerns about such a fine tip so close to the intake port. If the tip broke, it might cause some carnage.
    Have you thought about offsetting the primary injector further forward than the secondary, instead of parallel? You would have to make an offset top section to compensate, but it might shroud the primary injector enough to clean up the low end tip in. Then the secondary injector is just sending in more over the top, if that makes sense?
    Love that you guys are sharing this with the world, PFI Speed all the way!

  • @Johns51
    @Johns51 Годину тому

    Great idea i think a wall and some fettling and this will work . A lot of fuel mind so would using higher rail pressure so it exits the injector faster not asist in atomising ?.

  • @eclipsegod4g63
    @eclipsegod4g63 9 годин тому

    you could make the injectors angled cuz the top doesnt care as long as it has pressure make the top piece wider so the top of the injectors are further apart thus projecting the spray pattern more towards the bottom then you could run the long tipped injectors and get them even closer to the intake runner so the vacuum effect works better

  • @t1bud42
    @t1bud42 11 годин тому

    Can you get some kinda nozzle on the end of the adapter to help spray pattern? Instead of a wall can each tube of the adapter just be a tube instead of a open Y
