Depends of enemy pick. If they have too many "fat" heroes - better have this build, so you can farm yourself between Vendettas (for example, AM, Medusa, Brewmaster, Tidehunter etc). But 7.31 killed Carry Nyx a bit with useless talent on 25 instead of 75 Agility.
I always build Nyx carry when I go mid and it's super effective, but my build is a bit different. I go for treads, then diffusal blade so I can slow, burn even more mana and it gives me agi, then I go for manta to maximize diffusal's potential and pushing, then abyssal for permastun and BKB if necessary.

Nyx assassin is pretty fun to play, you can function fine with hardly any xp or even last hits since his kit can have such an impact all on its own I just did a game where I mainly walked around getting bounty runes as they spawned, was extremely behind on everything, end up finishing 11/5/10.

Tip: you can hit Vendetta while TPing, so if you're in the fountain it will regen a bit more of your Mana than if you hit it after the TP completes.
