Rasul also won the world silver medal in 1998 with 20 kg less weight... Rasul Khadim retired from wrestling at the age of 25... Rasul Khadim for the people Iran is very popular and respected... he is a very great person and is active in social fields and is with the people and actively participates in charitable works..... I wish good health to Rasul Khadim and Kevin Jackson... both of them They were great heroes
Rasoul was like John Smith , not a whole muscle guy but a great technician.he put a big dent in Khadaratsuv( spl?) achievements( 3 matches , 3 lost , Khadaratsuv just cloudn't stop Rasoul reaching his ankles). pity he quit so soon due to injuries.
khadem was a phenom shame he stopped so early, i say early but he got silver and gold at the olympics and he was only 25/26 and at that weight his strength must have been ridiculous, unbelievable athlete.
What a great wrestling to watch, both wrestlers are talented. I think we should appreciate the sport and what it can do to anyone who gotten involved, win or lose, I think at the end, everyone is a winner. The best part about it is that it doesn't matter where you come from, what age, what ethnic group you belong to, the well trained and the person who is ready to win comes out on top from an intense, physically challenging face to face interaction. And that is what makes this sport so wonderful
agha, please don't post things like this. it makes us persians look bad. first off, it looks like you're trying to make an excuse for rasul losing. this man's name is kevin jackson, not "the black guy". jackson was 27 years old at the time and in the prime of his career while rasul was only 17 and making his olympic debut. if anything you should commend rasul on earning a silver at age 17. i know rasul never made excuses for himself and he doesn't need you to make excuses for him either
