I needed to find a piano accompaniment performed in G as opposed to A and here it was. Thank you so much for this beautiful and touching rendition. I just hope I can make it through it.

Eric really hit it, my only son was tragically killed around the same time so I didn't focus much on this song or anything else for a while, or ever actually, he was my whole life. In those days without knowing yet about Eric's song I wanted the answer to the very same questions. All I wanted to know is where he was and what it was like. That consumed me. It eventually caused me to give up my life for truth, truth itself. Finally within maybe 6 months I was given a dream and I was there with him and he with me. It was real beyond me. Then as I woke up I was told what that place was called. I didn't understand until 7 years later when someone gave me a 12 part, very complex and scientific, tape series, on how God reconciles all things back to him as stated in the Bible. I didn't believe it for a long time.

I always loved this Eric Clapton composition and I really enjoyed your interpretation. It can't have been easy to capture the essence of the song without the guitar - so central to Clapton's performance - but you managed to convey the sadness and the joy too of Clapton's piece.
