Said it once and I’ll say it again. Can Mark please please stop this narrative that if a new manager comes in, a complete overhaul of the squad is required.
We currently have a decent crop of players. Flexible players who can be used in different systems. Can the team be strengthened, absolutely. However if Ten Hag was to be dismissed tomorrow, a good manager could still come in and meet targets for this season (Top 4 and a trophy).
Mikel Arteta won his only silverware to date with an Emery/Wenger side. He’s won nothing since his squad overhaul. Consequently, Emery took Villa from relegation candidates to top 4.
The re-build doesn’t always have to be so dramatic. Managers go into clubs and manage. A few years back, Poch didn’t sign a player for 2yrs and took Spurs to the champions league final. Let’s stop the BS that managers come into new clubs and do this massive overhaul, they come in to manage and get the best out of the current crop of players. Time will tell if the my can replace existing players.

De Gea was let go because he couldn’t play out from back, that’s a fact. Yes Onana is nowhere near the shot stopper De Gea was, but just because De Gea’s replacement isn’t good, doesn’t mean the decision to get rid of De Gea was wrong.
On Sky’s channel I commented to Brighton Fans how crazy it is that Danny is still performing at this level, the way he uses the ball, gets in positions, finishes even assists holds the ball like a true CF and we are in the mud when we have talented forwards. That’s not true that ETH doesn’t trust Martinez or De Ligt for a game like yesterday. They are both knackered. A filthy mouth would say that De Ligt was crap with Porto which is not true. Far from it. ETH is pretty much aware that his formation and team selection will always make the CBs’ and the CDMs’ job the hardest to do. That’s the reason why the CB’s get injured very often. Maguire’s injury record got worse ever since ETH came. His formation and tactics destroys the CDMs and the CBs. About the leadership…it seems like we are not to rate Eriksen as a leader: the captain of the Danish team, one of the best players in the PL for the last 10 - 12 seasons.
Ineos will break the Mold and give Ten Hag the full season. At that point a decision will be made as to weather, results, tactics, personel are up to the job!
We gain nothing with ruud as an interim until the end of the season. It would be better to give ten hag the season to try and break the cycle and get a preferred manager in the summer. The only time I’d sack ten hag is if the ideal manager is available right now or the team openly downs tools and cannot work with ten hag anymore.
If ruud is the right guy and the club want him to be manager then give it to him.

Goldbridge lists 100s of issues with the club that are all directly tied to the manager but refuses to blame the manager. This squad is a ETH Squad, ETH made Bruno captain and wont drop him, Rashy is being played - that is a ETH decision. ETH says we are progressing, but we go from 12th to 14th....only when we are in the bottom 3 will the fanbase want to do something.
I watched that game yesterday and sorry, none of our players are league winners.

De Gea was no longer good enough for Man Utd. We do play out from the back, you can argue whether we do it well enough or not. I cannot imagine De Gea on the edge of the box like Onana with split CBs on either side inviting the press. It would be an absolute calamity. Basic goal kicks were a problem for him. Even as a shot-stopper, 22/23 De Gea was not better than current Onana.
Why would INEO'S be looking at someone else if they dont want to fire him ?Why would you keep him under those circumstances and why would he want to stay under such circumstances ,does he not have any pride ?

I don’t see this season being any different to last, we may just end up having a worst goal difference that’s about it, and if ten Hag doesn’t manage to win a lucky trophy to give him some sand on the sea, he won’t have anything to point to to defend himself. The team needs inspiration and motivation from a charismatic personality with good game management and tactical prowess. Everything’s been downhill since ten Hags first season. He needs to go but at this point this season looks to be yet another write off unless they sack him so who knows
