Hi, I wrote this pattern out in English in case other people have a hard time understanding it by video alone. Lovely video though and thank you so much for sharing your work! And to everyone trying out this pattern for themselves, I hope this helps! Start with a slipknot. Ch. 21. *Ch = chain, sc = single crochet, st = stitch. 1. Starting in the 2nd ch. from hook, sc 20 times to get to the end of the chain. 2. Ch. 1 and turn. Make a normal sc in the first st. Make a sc but in the row below the st. This is called a SPIKE. Alternate 1 regular sc with 1 spike until the end of the row. If you did it correctly, your last st will be a spike. Row 3 - 46. Repeat row 2 (; so, ch. 1 and turn. 1 sc, 1 spike until the end). Row 47: [1 sc, 1 spike] repeat 2 times (so 6 st total). Ch. 8. Skip 8 st and tie your chain of 8 to the next st with a sc. Finish the row with [1 spike, 1 sc] and count to check if you have 6 st again. So 6 st, then the gap created by chain of 8 and then 6 st again. Row 48: we're going back in almost the same way. So: 3x [1 sc, 1 spike] - then 12 sc AROUND the chain - tying it back on the other side with 3x [1 sc, 1 spike]. Row 49: 24x sc to make a neat border. Tie off and weave in the ends. FOLDING THE BAG: I think in the video, she sews it shut to her personal preference. The way I did it: - I decided with side of my work looked the prettiest; this will be the outside. As I want my sewing on the inside, I flipped it inside out, but either way is fine, really! - I folded it to see how much of an overlap I would prefer and used stitchmarkers to keep the ends together (you can use an earring, paperclip or even safetypin if you don't own stitchmarkers). - I counted, from the bottom up, I made sure to have 19 stitches/rows, so the stitchmarker was in the 20th on both sides. This way the purse will be symmetrical. - I used a sewing needling/darning needle to simply sew the sides shut, but you can also use your regular crochet hook to slip stitch the sides together. - Remember to flip it right side out again if you also chose to have the sewing side on the inside of your purse! OPTIONS TO CLOSE: sew on a large button to lock your purse, or make a string that you can tie around to lock it like in the end of the video. To make a string, you can do it however you like. I personally like making a chain as long as desired and then turn. Starting in the 2nd ch from the hook, I slip stitch all the way to the end and weave in the ends. Done! ^^
Such a cute purse. Am going to make 2 of them. One for my Mum and one for me. Hope u do have english subtiltes for ur videos. Makes it a lil more easier. Thank you ☺️🙏
