Great vid and it proves that in the right hands and sans enemy air cover, the Maus is a true juggernaut.
This has got to go on best replays of the week. You were angling the MAUS very well. however if the enemy team was more aggressive you would have lost as they would of surrounded you. But all in all great game great tank. Big well done from me.
This video is super old tho. Did you see the matchmaking.. He had tier sixes in there. Great game, looked like a lot of fun, but the challenge wasn't there for a best replay of the week.

Great battle? You drove a quarter-kilometer out of your base, didn't help your teammates who were dying right in front of you, sat motionless and hoped shots bounced off your armor for awhile (including your rear armor), then turned around and drove half-way back to your base? In what alternate reality is this even a GOOD battle?

if he supported his teammates like that, he also would have died
And by acting as a damage sponge for his teammates, those teammates would have survived. Do either of you actually play this game? It's a team game, not an individual search for high stats - unless you're really insecure, and really young.
yea he should of been in front angling with his near impervious armor and his teamates would of been able to use him for cover and probably own the corner.
You are a moron if you travel to the bottom of that hill, you are inviting people to shoot you. If you are half smart, you wait on top of the hill and shoot down on the enemy. You are also in a arty safe zone atop the hill.

I brawa za to :) tylko ciekawe czemu ta vk tak Cie detrackowała, była na tyle wysoka by tego Isa 3 na capie zasłonić, gdyby to był pluton wygrali by te bitwe przez scapowanie :) ale nie było wtedy jeszcze gold ammo, więc maus był ciut OP :D

The back armor of a Maus is what other tier 10 tanks are envious of for FRONT armor.
Add proper angling to that? Yeah, good luck.
He had the perfect position for that entire engagement. He was able to determine precisely where every shot would be coming from, and therefore could keep that monster armor angled at all times, making it nearly impenetrable.
The Maus's main weakness - its lack of speed - became completely irrelevant.
Just because it's rear, doesn't mean it's unprotected.

It was pretty challenging for the low tier tanks though :D I wish I had known this game since its debut, I missed the beauty of the +3 and +4 MM.

You use gold ammo and enemy have one only tier 10...easy
Look at the bottom of the screen, you can see what type of ammo he is using, and it's all AP and HE, no premium.

His angling was spot-on. His choice of positioning was spot-on. His choice of ammunition types and timing was spot-on. His weak-spot aiming was spot-on. His situational awareness was spot on.
Skill won, not luck. Watch the video. Every maneuver was calculated.
Besides, it is not his fault his team sucked horribly (bar that one Tiger 2 that hung with him to the end).
He took the poor cards delt, and completely owned everything with them (including an IS7 in a direct fight).
The music made it 100 times better!

but if you dont want to be to dependent on your luck next time use the terrain to your advantage. For example when your back faced towards that four heavies rolling to you, you could have simply hidden your big but with that hill ;)
Also to go close with a Maus is not the best idea as your biggest ally is your armour that is almost impossible to penetrate from distance.
Last hint from my side is to just ignore small tanks like the M6 even if they shoot your back, even if they know where to shoot they must be lucky to deal damage.

Situationally, yes.
Catch even a good Maus on an open field like Prohorovka and you'll run into problems when fighting E50Ms (fast, well armored tank with 270mm penetration, more than enough to breach the Maus) or any tier 10 Tank Destroyer.
The Maus's strength is its ability to hold a choke point... but in that role, my fucking God... you're absolutely correct. No other tank in the game can hold a choke point like the Maus.
