You should give a running up and over rig a try. You can fish a snood as long as you like and your bait will always be nailed to the deck. Not as good in rough marks as the pulley rig but more than suitable for 90% of the venues we encounter on the north Wales coast. 😉
I've tied a few of these, what I was trying to say is, with the pulley rig was, if I change the snood from the lead to the first swivel to be alot shorter, my bait would be lower down in the water coloum.
Good video as always mate don’t forget to ignore the idiots and keep up the great work. Don’t know how you can use multipliers reels I always get in a birds nest with them so I give up 😂
Hi Mike. Full mark's for you're dedication you just never know what's out there if it was easy we wouldn't bother turning up. Keep you're enthusiasm you've got all these subscribers to keep happy.!!! God bless. Buckley Mon 👍
Hi Mike, great fishing as always keep it going. Now i need some help from you as i have said i had my leg amputated and now i'm back into fishing again can you tell me of any good low water marks without the need to walk to far in the north wales area. Best regards Dave.
With a pulley rig the leader is just an extension of your shockleader. Hooklength should determine how high the bait sits off or on the sea bed. When using worm I tend to use the same length of rigs for low and high water as it makes no difference. About 3.5 feet to lead and 3 foot hooklength.
Yes, that's what I was trying to sat. By taking that shock from the lead to the first swivel down lower, it meant my bait would sit lower in the water. Does that make sense? I'm always a go big baits or go home type of guy, as you know 😂
Great interesting video Mike hopefully you don't start to get plague by them whitening on your next trip out I hate caching them greedy whitening they are a pain in the butt all the best from Paul from Staffordshire England 🇬🇧 👍
Thanks for the video mate 👍 have a good week 👍
Cheers mate, a new one shortly for you.

Me you an john need to have that whiting comp this winter 😂
Game on!
Meet you at Old colwyn 😂
nice mike good video duration too
Cheers mate, it was a long one. Another about to drop today. Another long one.
Try using an up and over or a 2 hook rig with the bottom snood sliding after it's released from the bait clip. Try smaller hooks
I'll try one soon, I do lobe a pulley pennel though 😅
If u want your bait on the deck use an up and over .or a pulley dropper.
I know that mate, I was on about how high the bait would be sat on a big pulley rig. I qas using a five for snood length.
Hopefully the next session will be a good one.
It was a good one, fealt a touch rough though. It will he on shortly

When was this Mike? Saw John in Conwy Sunday pumping so I'm guessing this was Saturday?
Looked far too calm for anything decent to be honest.
Think it was before yes, we've needed this weather to stir things up abit. But not too much that you turn green on the boat... 😂
