22nd December 2024 am. - Luke 1 v.26 to 56 - 'Mary, Mary...'

Today, as Christmas approaches fast, we are looking at the person of Mary, who after Jesus, Himself is the most significant participant in the events of that first Christmas. Whilst thoroughly ordinary, she is supremely special, so today, we look at why and what we can learn from her. The first half of the reading, Luke 1 v.26 to 38 was read earlier in the service. The supporting readings are Isaiah 7 v.14 and Zechariah 2 v.10 to 13. There is no evening service today, we moved it to Christmas Eve and will be having a Christmas Eve Communion Service.
