This is amazing! I did the adaptive frame thing and loved the xp but man, hauling about 200k frames to sell them in neon took forever! Ill be setting up one of these outposts tomorrow, thanks for the great guide :)
Yeah it doesn’t get any more clean cut than this. Low weight - high value. Don’t have to build a crazy outpost on multiple biomes - easy - useful - practical . I don’t think I can make a better build honestly
So with greenhouses I just found out (via trial and error) that you can only place your greenhouses on the same planet you have scanned a plant 100%! I tried scanning something that could be produced in a greenhouse and could build the greenhouse on that planet but when I went to my main base I didn't even have the greenhouse in my build menu!
Thanks, you'd think folks making these videos would give complete information. Leaving out important details, like the one you pointed out here, shows that so many of these videos are very lacking! Thanks for making a video but incorrectly telling people you only have to do A, B and C is not a helpful video!
I am level 25 and just completed all outpost research. I have an idea. I'll be adjusting the math for each but essentially X2 the Argon and H20. Industrial greenhouses instead. And use the foundation "concrete wall" trick of stacking storage containers then deleting all but the top one in order to keep its foundation, making a "wall". Chaining the storage along the top in segments no longer than 40. I shall update.
@robinletonqueze8428 Oh I forgot I commented, it worked! 25,000 AMP per Venus reset. Eventually tore it down and made another one w more intricate, less giant rectangle, walls. That ones outputting 30,100+ AMP per Venus run.
You also need to research horticulture 1 to be able to build a greenhouse. Also need to unlock the botany skill before scanning the plants, I found all this out the hard way last night, trying to replicate your AMP farm. Thanks for the videos!
You should not need horticulture 1 - that’s for the commercial greenhouse - the base one should be available with no research - i tested this out on a blank guy - only thing you need is botany rank 1 - unless they patched this within the last week?
@@TacticatGaming maybe with a patch. Or it could've just been me not unlocking Botany BEFORE I scanned the plants. My route was, scan plants, build, couldn't find greenhouse obviously, then ranked up to unlock Botany, still no greenhouse. Researched on the interwebs, said you needed horticulture 1, unlocked that, still no greenhouse, then I finally rescanned the plants, and the greenhouse finally appeared. I don't know, I most likely messed it up by not following your directions, lol.
You should only need - Botany 1 > Scan to 100% > place greenhouse . you might need to scan the entire planet to 50% but usually this is done by the time to get the one plant to 100% - i've had some weird issues - but i did this process 4 times from scratch to learn all the bugs and issues @@atc15q
I've done all this, but my greenhouse isn't showing up under the building section for me to build. Pretty much have almost all planets scanned and animals and plants scanned, so not sure why they aren't showing up. I've been playing since the game was released, and have my skills open, but just started to do bigger outpost and focus on doing those missions now, so I'm still only familiar with the basic outposting, so I'm not sure if it's something that I'm messing up. If I add a greenhouse or do the animals, does the greenhouse only show up if I'm on a planet with plants, or will it show up for me to use on planets with nothing but craters and rocks on them? 🤔
embarrassing amount of hours, and i learned something, great vid (the amount produced per min). Looking for a bug fix where i cant link anything to anything. cant link cargo to each other cant link greenhouse to storage. i definitely don't have 60 links as all i was doing was simple amp set up... this games bugs are soooo frustrating. guess i will try to make another outpost and if that doesn't work i'll give up on the game.
So can you grow in the greenhouse plants that are not actually in that particular biome? For example could you grow any fully scanned plant in the Frozen Plains if that happens to be where the minerals are that you want.
Have you tried this using Zoology Animal Husbandry as an option? I was a little freaked out when the Alien bugs were everywhere. I am assuming you can also kill them for XP and they will reproduce and you can still get your toxin and metabloic agent? Giving you Amp Xp and Kill XP?

It’s all bound to the planet - you can grow anywhere on the planet
Yeah doing an amp farm up in the north of the world. Which is frozen.

Animals take fiber produced by greenhouse and water - plants less hassle

Just remind people what skills they need. Botany lvl 1, and outpost engineering lvl 1. You need both as of now.
Would Sarah's Botany skill enable the greenhouse without having to invest in it yourself?
I read it didn’t unlock building but just gave buffs - I’d have to honestly test that out
