I like this guy's voice and, he's a decent street performer for doing covers like this one... I'm not any better than him but, I've seen this so many times over the years... I know hundreds just as good and, even better who got stuck doing covers of other artists and, they never broke out... It's great to learn songs by others but, eventually if you seriously want to make a dent in the business as an indie or beyond, you gotta break out some original work or, you just sort'a blend in the huge crowd of very talented musicians and, singers already out there with so many coming on and, all going nowhere off the streets, or out of clubs, and party gigs for a scratch living as a hobby... I mean, I really do wish this guy success but, he's gotta grow out of doin' these covers and, step into showing off his talent more with some original music... Best of luck Rob, I mean that...

But if your trying to get your name out there you are smart to start with covers. Those are the songs people know and will draw people to your voice. Once people get used to your name and voice, then you start mixing in your own work. If you just start singing your own work from the start, you won't get the time of day. There are too many aspiring artist that are good and your just in a big mixing pot. Use covers to gain a base, then drop in originals here and there.
