I understand that people like using skips to make towers easier and less stressful, but if you want to get better at the game, I think you should do those legit. Because of you fail, you’ll know what to get better at, rather than skipping everything possible.
yeah, when you are doing a legit run you should do a couple skips, such as skipping a jump or two because it’s a bit easier to speedrun oh and also when you wanna rebeat do all the skips you want
It's not exactly like doing a skip doesn't make you better either though. For example I did ToDT and TT, and I did them with skips, I still got better at obbies even with skips I have done. In my opinion, it's not correct to call every run with skips unlegit, but I do agree that doing towers skipless could improve your skill. I never did any Lag High Jump skips on my wins, if anyone would be asking.
@@Xnline In my experience, that skill gain is unnoticable. That of course depends on how hard the jump you skipped was, and if you actually struggled on it or if you were just scared when doing it (that's mainly why I do a lot of skips that I did on SC towers, I'm just too scared of some parts so I prefer to skip them).
a lot of skips that people use are just to skip rng or annoying jumps, instead of stuff like 4 stud stickouts and entire sections. and the former still raises your skill and not by much less than fully legit. in the words of zievex, "fully legit actually means fully stupid"
ToTL is definitely much harder than ToDT. ToTL has more awkward jumps and floor 3 is not as much of a net as many would think as most of the hard and inconsistent jumps on some of the later floors are at the sides and corners where you can't catch yourself on 3 if you fall. ToDT is a bit more simple, side A is the only part you should worry about especially 10A. However after reaching side B as long as you have practiced and are consistent it is not much of a problem to get to the end from there. ToTL also took me longer to beat than ToDT did so that should show that it feels harder.
I beat ToDT as my 1st SC and ToTL as my 4th. I found Double Trouble waaaay more enjoyable to grind, even though I was definitely not at the skill level to beat it anyway. Thinning Layers took me a whole month, while Difficulty Chart only took me 2 days (for comparison). I hated grinding ToTL because it was incredibly frustrating and unfair. I actually fluked floor 10 though, but if I had failed it, the tower could've taken me longer, even 2 months. While Double Trouble took me around half a year, this was because: 1. It was my first SC 2. I was not at the correct skill level to beat it to be honest 3. I did grinding in small bursts, every month or so. In reality, it took me around 3 weeks of actual grinding time. I think Thinning Layers isn't as easy as people say it is to re-beat, but it is certainly easier. Sorry for the long comment lol
Time to write an essay on two grindy towers Well i would 90% say ToDT is easier, it is also pretty enjoyable to grind, and is easy to get used to. If you tried it at High Remorsless skill level like me the chances are you are gonna fluke the tower from floor 4. However if you want to be a more skillful player and want to beat harder towers i would recommend ToTL. I would 10% say ToTL is easier, as it is more consistent and not as modern. Unlike ToDT where you can see stuff like buttons, neon and dark parts. If you come from something like tiered obbies, i would recommend ToTL as it would be easier from you. However if your the avarage JToH player wanting a 1st SC, i would really advise you to go to ToDT I personally beat ToDT as my 1st SC, but feel free to do ToTL as your 1st SC, since it can be easier to learn.
