Quran 19:59-60, But they were succeeded by a generation who neglected prayer and followed their pleasures and so they shall find misguidance. Except for those who repent, believe, and do good, they shall enter into Paradise and shall not be wronged in the slightest (shall not be denied the reward of any of their good deeds.)
Another question is can you be a Muslim without prayer? The answer is no. As for rewards, I kindly disagree about rewards because the Prophet peace and blessings of Allah be upon him who taught us how to pray informed us about the rewards and benefits of some prayers and likewise, the consequences of abandoning the prayers, it amounts to disbelief. I agree about most of what you say but the Prayer Salah is also the greatest act of worship and the closest we get to our Lord is when we are in prostration sujood.
I'm 54 years old. Ive stopped praying. I'm done. I'm through. Too many belittling Pyrrhic wars. All that fear Allah, all those sacrifices, only for it to open doors of poverty, debt, forced riba to pay the bills and much, much more. I'm done.
If you want hypocrites to make you a hypocrite that is your right brother. Your observations aren't wrong. Most don't fear God but remmeber the stories of Noah, Lut, Mydian, Ad, Thamoud... Most people were astray and only very few succeeded. I'm sorry the world discouraged you, I hate it myself tbh. I just think your response to your correct observations is erroneous, I hope you reconsider.
Hard times create strong men Strong men create easy times Easy times create weak men Weak men create hard times A strong man doesn't give up hope and doesn't lose faith. This world is limited. This world was designed to be a test, nothing more. Allah swt has warned us about this in the quran many many times. The afterlife is eternal. Paradise and Hellfire are eternal. Praying with sincerity grants you contentment and peace in this world and grants you paradise in the hereafter. Your sacrificing that for nothing but materialistic pleasures. Pleasures that will bring you strife in this world and give you grief in the hereafter may Allah swt forgive us. Sacrifice now with commitment and then relax in paradise where Allah swt promises we will be happy. And a promise from Allah swt is not to be taken lightly.
In the end, it's not about what people around us have become due to greed, hatred, etc but rather how we clung strong to our Deen even more now than ever and believing with conviction that with all difficulty comes ease...if not on this Dunya then in the Hereafter 🤲🏻
Thank you, brother, very good and very well said you are absolutely right Jazzak Allah.
