I grew up in an old trailer and it just felt like the spin cycle was going on the washer because it would shake the trailer a little. It felt the same way it did when I was 11, butmy friend had just moved and the washer and dryer weren't even hooked up yet.
We all respond in different ways lol. I remember being on a rollercoaster where the employee didn’t strap my mom or me in. He didn’t notice and shouted “Everybody buckled in?” Everybody screamed “yeah!” except for my soft-voiced mother who shouted “no, *we’re* not!” He shouted “everybody READY?” and everybody screamed “YEAHHHH!” And that’s when my mom lost it and started frantically waving her hands and yellin. I just kinda sat there wondering what would happen next. I knew we’d die if they didn’t strap us in, but it was so surreal and almost comical how close to the most absurd death we were. @Sh0rt Circuit The nature you describe sounds more like a god. Nature as a whole doesn't have thoughts, it's not even one big collective and it doesn't plan things. Super volcanoes just come into existence because the plates happened to move a certain way, there is no thought involved- there are only chain reactions. Nature is random, survival of the fittest is a very interesting example of that.

I honestly don’t understand why people wanna move to California. There’s earthquakes, rampant forest fires, droughts,it’s very crowded and the San Andreas Fault.
Gabii Xoxo But in Cali it happens way too frequently. Where I live we just get hurricanes and tornadoes but even then they’re very rare. Also we don’t have a fault that could make us sink in the ocean.
Yeah, and those two quakes pushed the clock up, too. It's soon. But like, hey. The end comes for all of us. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If I'm gonna die in the big one, at least I'm dying in a state where I lived free.
I wanna live somewhere where big earthquakes don't hit. I heard New Mexico doesn't have big earthquakes. But I guess their murder rates are high so I dont wanna live there anymore
same w the new madrid fault in missouri / arkansas . it’s due for a huge one. last major one was in 1912 i’m pretty sure and caused the mississippi river to flow backwards & flood lots of cities
Aww I love them turning into parents and comforting their pets. I know it's like a normal thing but they always go the extra mile and you can tell they care deeply.
Somehow I ended up being outside during an earthquake just chilling when I was little and legit everything started shaking and I was like damn okay I'm outside so we gucci
Same. I had never experienced an earthquake until early this year in Colorado. They were insane. My bed started shaking at around 3 in the morning and if you listen closely you can hear the aftershocks coming. We live high up in the mountains so they don’t happen very often but it was a record high for Colorado.
I live in Oklahoma and at one point we had more earthquakes than Cali did. The largest though was only a 5.5. That was terrifying enough, I cant imagine what a 7 feels like.
same with central PA, but we got get tornados that can actually hurt anything they’re super small and end quickly. no hurricanes, no fires, no earthquakes.
I’ve only experienced one earthquake, and it was probably the most horrifying experience ever. The ground moved, you feel sick and weak in the knees, you hear the earth rumble and shift, a crack happened in my garden and formed a small hill. Then all the house alarms around us went off in like this weird chorus of shouting. And don’t be so hard on them. Earthquakes are unnatural to them so any earthquake, no matter the Richter would scare them.. any standard is still a standard.
Literally you’re so fucking dramatic. I live in Central America. This happens all the time and I can guarantee you that no one feels what you just described. Man up.

To the people upset at jason and chris joking around while the earthquake was happening you have to understand they live in California where earthquakes are very common so they probably thought oh it's just a regular earthquake like always not knowing the magnetitude of the earthquake
Carolina Pena exactly, and they were trying to diffuse the tension. It really feels like a lot of people commenting have no idea who Jason and Chris are and how close they are to j and j.
During an earthquake, if your house or trees begin to collapse, its safe to run outside and find an area that is cleared from houses and trees, such as a field.
but be careful. it is also safe to find a strong wall or a column away from windows and glass and stay there. you have higher chances of survival if you're on a second floor or higher when you do that. you know, triangle of life and that stuff lol
The way Julien put his hand on Jennas back while she comforts Bunny, asks if the ppl in chat in CA are okay, then goes 'i gotta call my mom' so pure and caring

Mythbusters tested this, doorways are safe if you can keep yourself in them, but in strong shakes you could easily fall over and be in danger of other things falling on you.

UhneiceUh you could be unable to see and get knocked somewhere or trip from the tremors and not be able to help yourself without knowing where to grab/where is safe since you can't see well, or less severe your glasses could get lost or broken from being shaken off a table or something. plus, you never know when you may need to evacuate whatever area you're in and go outside, and you never want to have to go back inside a shaking building in a really bad earthquake just for your glasses

Valerie Quevedo couldn’t imagine being in an apartment complex 🥺 my ass would wanna move
"What's with LA getting earthquake recently?"
Boy you literally live beside the San Andreas Fault, what do you mean?
I’m so lucky that I live in Australia, we have a lot of pretty extreme droughts but I’ve never experienced anything like earthquakes
Pretty much the same in Germany.
We in Scotland and we get absolutely nothing like that
@@hanac5586 be grateful
Lani Maguire Agreed. We get bush fires but so does California plus the Earthquakes. No thanks
We get them sometimes, usually in SA/VIC/TAS, but there have been like three in NSW this year
Gotta get that earthquake insurance in SoCal, as well as fire because of the wildfires
