  • In today’s episode we pick up a brand new 2020 Can-Am Outlander 650 XMR! We travel 6 hours round trip to pick it up from Central Vermont Motorcycles! We then go over why I bought the quad, our first impressions, and of course the first ride! Unfortunately we couldn’t run the machine to it’s full potential just yet being that we need to break it in for 10hrs. Stay tuned and subscribe to see more of this machine tearing it up!

    More is better is the thought process. I got my 570 for $5600, and it has plenty of power to plow snow which is my number 1 use that utilizes the power. Everything else a 450 would have been fine.

      what the heck thank you! So far it’s been a great machine. With the addition of a clutch kit recently, the thing is a total ripper and has plenty of power for what we do! Most of the time we’re only averaging 15 mph in our trails. We only get on it when we hit the mud!

      Have had no issues so far. Any issues I’ve had were from driver error. Check engine light came on once when it sat in 3 1/2 feet of water for 5 mins while we winched it out, but turned off when we got it out. If you look at our later videos I actually swamp it and it fired right back up on the spot.

      They’re good. Seth actually has the 28” mega mayhems on his Polaris sportsman now a d they work great. The 650 XMR ended up getting 28x10 itp cryptids. They seem to do a lot better in the trail with grip. Here, check out this vid where we compare them on the trail, mud, hills, etc.

    9 months later ... what’s the verdict? Any complaints? I’m planning on picking one up in a week or so. Going with the same size as it’s all Muskeg around here and the bigger bikes get stuck too easy.

    • @LetDirtFly
      @LetDirtFly  3 роки тому +1

      It’s been perfect. Haven’t broken anything yet! Has only over 300 miles now because our swamp is literally 1/4 mile back in the woods. Should be able to turn bigger tires no problem. I have a clutch kit in it and it works perfect. Only complaints I have are the secondary clutch helix clunk which is on basically every can am and it does run hot from the factory. I got a flash tune now so it runs nice and cool now. Definitely worth the buy. More then enough power I feel. The only reason I’d go to a 850 is if I was trying to do mud racing or wanted to turn 32-34” tires.

    @TheOGPickleRick 2 роки тому

    People who say they don't use the power or that it's jumpy or any number of other excuses are full of it and noobs to riding. A 1k is not fast by any means. Maybe fast for a 4wheeler, but no. Get on a nitrous busa or in a 1k hp vette and feel what quick feels like. You can full throttle a 1k with 1 hand and have complete control. Please stop spreading this myth. Bigger is better.

    • @LetDirtFly
      @LetDirtFly  2 роки тому

      I hear you. I drive a Northeast dirt modified every weekend at over 100mph average on dirt. Also have drag cars and other fast cars. I know what fast is. But out of all the trails I’ve ridden in NY, the fastest your able to get up to is maybe 40-50mph. You can get that out of a old Yamaha bruin 330. That’s why I went 650. It’s not about experience. I’ve been riding since I could walk. I didn’t seen the personal need to get a larger cc quad. Seth on our channel now has a 850xmr and even says trail riding is tough on some tight trails because the throttle is jumpy. It’s all personal preference at the end of the day.

She’s gone to multiple gastrologists, neurologists, and all kinds of different specialists. It’s something no one can give a direct answer for. The gastrologists think it’s Tourette’s and the neurologists say it’s something with her stomach, so it’s a constant back and forth between the two. No one can figure it out and it gets worse when she’s stressed about things. She got tired of just getting thrown back and forth between the two, so she just tells people it’s possibly Tourette’s and I just call it her hiccup because sometimes it comes out like that.
