Ciao Carlo, i know its an old video and thats why im interested.. Do you still recommend this headgear? Looks dope, i'm just not sure if its worth to pay the extra shipping fees (US - Europe) Thanks man
Hello. Thank you for great review. I'm seriously considering Sabas headgear. Does the size of the bukle bothers you? It seems big in comprasion to Winning? What if you get upper cut, it looks like it could protrude into one throat ? Thank you.
Hey bro, need advise, would you say this is best option for a facesaver gear out there if I am tight on money? and if I had money .,. what would be the best headgear/facesaver?
Unless you really need a facesaver (nose problems, can’t get hit in the face) then I recommenced cheek protector headgear. My favorite is the ringside ultra light headgear
The cheek headgear is great! I look both the FS and cheek protector. The only thing I dislike was the plastic buckle. I high recommend getting the metal straps. Other than that, the headgear is worth the price.
@@csquaredboxing carlos i also saw that it has a new improved mini non-slip quick clip and it has a new logo design could you please do a review on the new ones
Based off the price difference and feel between this one and the top boxer face saver which one would you recommend bro? I’m having a hard time choosing.
Hi , which facesaver headgear do you recommend to protect the head (mainly side and back): Sabas FS 2.0, UMA 81, R2C Deluxe Full Face GelTech Sparring Headgear 2.0, Ultimatum Boxing Gen3FaceBar Professional, TOP KING Head Guard "Pro" Training, TOPBOXER DRAGON, Cleto Reyes Redesigned Headgear, VENUM ELITE IRON HEADGEAR?
I dont have experience with all of those headgears you've mentioned, but from the ones I have tried, if you're specifying side and back protection, I'd say the R2C because it has the most padding to the back of the head and ears.
Hey man, dope reviews - just gave you a follow. My head measures 22.5”. All sizes are sold out except for size L. Website says L fits 22.5”-25” - would you still recommend this headgear in a size L for me?
You should purchase a Headgear based on head circumference, not by your height and weight. I have a big head which measures about 23.5” so I got a large. Measure your head then use the Headgear chart on their website to pick the correct size.
Hey, how would you compare this headgear, to the fg5000, that's if you've worn one and have experience with the winning fg5000. I'm looking to buy the sabas facesaver, but idk if I should just buy the winning instead. I feel like the sabas is almost exactly like the winning headgear, but slightly modified. It reminds me of the winning and Reyes put together. I have the money for either head gear, I want the sabas though, because it's price justified. Let me know what you think. I used to use grant and winning for everything. Now I just use Saba, I have some 10oz proseries gloves and the prime 16oz which is a little longer then your average 16 Oz but it is either as good as grant or better. Also, I have a small head for my size. I currently use the winning fg5000 and it's great, but I sold a week ago, which I regret. Now I'm trying to find another headgear. I have a ton of gear for sale, get back with me.
Can you recommend a question to me, what color of the helmet is better to use white or black? Because they tell me that white can get dirty easier, with the opponent's glove if it is black or another color
Nice review. Ive been boxing for years and had a bunch of amateur fights. I just had surgery to repair my badly deviated septum. I can now breathe again but want to start sparring. I cant take any nose shots. After you adjusted the nose bar, has the bar touched your nose from any punches? Thanks
Hey, hopefully you still respond I know this is an old video. But I need a headgear that protects my eyes. Well atleast one of them. If I get hit hard enough it can get knocked out I have a fake Lense in it. Does it protect my eyes? Or do you know any others that protect it?
@@csquaredboxing you think it’s good to spar in like nothing will slip through and hit it? I stand southpaw and my right eye is the one in danger of being knocked out. Not knocked out but it would tear my lense inside my eye. So I need really good headgear to protect it.
Finally met someone has a similar injury as mine lol! I also need to protect my right eye at all cost, and Carlo did mention the glove won’t be able to go through the opening.
Great review! As far as impact absorption and protection, would you say the rival d3o headgear is better or worse? I saw that you did a review on that one too. I'm just debating which to buy
It’s the same tbh. I don’t know if the d30 technology really works because when I take a punch to the head you feel the force of the punch the same regardless of what kind of padding it uses. I think padding/ shock absorption in headgears is a little misleading because whether it’s open face, cheek protector, face saver, the kinetic energy of a punch will transfer to your brain no matter what. I would prioritize comfort and visibility as the main aspects, or if you can’t afford to be touched in the nose, then a face saver. But the main thing with headgear has always been to prevent cuts and bruising, not so much to absorb shock or the force of the punch. That’s just my opinion having used several.
Thanks for the information! I have a one more question, I have the Sabas pro gloves now, it feels great, and there is a shop would give me a good deal for the Reyes' extra padding gloves, I am thinking about that gloves, too. So to compare both gloves, which one you think might be better?
I have the Cleto Reyes face saver. It’s just feels a little too heavy especially after I feel tired as the fight goes on. Does the weight feel significantly less with this one?
Great review
Thanks
Could you make a review on Sabas ProSeries 2.0 headgear?
Should make a little video of you adjusting the bar I’m curious on how you did that
Squeeze the side of the headgear or pull it apart
Have you tried the fly x headgear?
Uma r-9 review would be good to see
Can you do a review on the Sabas 2.0 headguard
do you still recommend this headgear?
I see this is the most reason comment and I have a question, does this not look just like a winking one?
are you going to do a review on the Rival facesaver?
Thanks! I wonder it. Compare to winning face saver you are opinion
Very similar maybe a tad heavier than winning
Great review ! I was wondering how there headgear was !
My clip has the same issue so it seems they are all built like that. Nice suggestion to double loop it. Great headgear otherwise. Very compact.
Yeah, I've mentioned it to Sabas so hopefully they can modify/ correct it.
carlos would you say this the closest headgear that is almost like the winnings and sabas has grown its name some pros use sabas
I’d say so
Thank you for great review. Can i ask something? Can i adjust the distance between the nose protection bar and my nose easily?
Yes by bending the frame
Lmao looks Exactly like the winning 5000

What if you get upper cut, it looks like it could protrude into one throat ?
Thank you.
The bulk doesnt bother because its a trade off for nose protection, its about the same size as Winning.
I have a head circumference of 22.6 can I wear this helmet size M?

Yes my favorite face saver

From what site is it best to order this , thanks and great review
www.sabasfightgear.com/shop
Hey bro do you think the tuhorn facesaver is better or worse than this ?
If your nose is already touching the bar, does that mean the headgear is too small?
Yes
Yes too small, the bar should also be more over the mouth and slightly angled up
Based off the price difference and feel between this one and the top boxer face saver which one would you recommend bro? I’m having a hard time choosing.
I still prefer this over the top boxer, slightly more comfortable and a better liner
Thanks for reply brother!! Ordering it today.
What is your head circumference in centimeters? And what is the size of the helmet in the video?
Great headgear! Any chance you could compare this with the winning fg 5000?
Yea, look just alike

Hi bro , I’m looking for a face saver for maximum nose protection , I just had surgery for my septum , which would you recommend on the cheaper side ?
Sabas or ringside

What did you do about the chin strap. Maybe you can place some tape behind the clip so it won't move after you set it where you won't to
I just have to double loop it which is a pain, but just deal with it. Need to find another clip that works with the female end.
csquaredboxing Does it still lift up when you get hit with uppercuts
Nope, holds on pretty firm.
What’s ur height and weight ? I ask because I don’t know to buy medium or large. I’m 5’8 165
You should purchase a Headgear based on head circumference, not by your height and weight. I have a big head which measures about 23.5” so I got a large. Measure your head then use the Headgear chart on their website to pick the correct size.
Jeremiah Bryant your height or weight doesn’t matter my guy. It’s on the size of your head

Bro common sense white gets dirty🤦♂️
how does it feel compared to fg5000
Is the face guard adjustable moldable like the winning?
Yes it is, I believe the inside uses aluminum frame so that it can bend to the shape of your head
Have you tried the fly nosegaurd headgear? Heard it has better vision and more lightweight then the winning. If so how would you compare to the sabaas
I haven’t yet, hopefully sometime in the future
This or phenom shg-250?
Phenom
What about phenom facesaver or the the winning facesaver? Thank you I’m advance

motor helm is better
Ring to cage or sabas?
sabas

I still prefer the comfort of the Sabas over Reyes Extra padding
i see, thank you, I got them both, the Reyes needs long time break in, I am still working on it
Kevin Chen yes the leather on Reyes is high quality and is thicker than most, so takes so time to break in, but once broken in feels real good.
