good point. i ve seen it here many times too. i said weather looks not very good. there is huge rain front coming. all other pilots be like: "should be fine!"
4 launch, 2 came straight back, 1 crashed on landing at the LZ, another crashed far out desperately trying to get down. i was just sitting there enjoying the muppet show.
since first time i start to learn my rule is: "if something doesnt feel right, it most likely isnt - dont fly!"

The problem with that mindset and something i've dealt with is that if you are new(ish) to the sport and you don't have a lot of confidence you will never be in the "F**K Yes" zone. Every time even in great conditions you will doubt yourself and if you follow this you will never fly.

This is very true. I'm still new, 50 or so flights, and there are occasions where you think, this is perfect but you're still pensive because, well, you're new.

Is this an airline joke? Everybody knows you don't sit row 18F. Especially on Virgin Airlines.

With your example given you did have a plan B. Right? i.e. "Probably ok but if that gust front comes in hard ... we land out and hike." So.. now you're doing risk analysis. What are the odds of the land out? How horrible is that option? What are the odds of getting caught in the gust? Are your skills and equipment up to a safe landing in that terrain in those conditions? Seems in the video - if it matches your narration - that even a worst case scenario would not have been all that bad.
In my own flying philosophy there is no such thing as a 100% it'll be fine. There is always a risk of something and the game is to identify it, mitigate it, plan for it. It's the risk you don't know your taking that will bite you hard!
I do understand you're philosophy here too. Avoid the 'maybe'. Be as certain as you can. If things seem uncertain then it's certain you're missing something. Don't accept risks if you cannot determine the probability of them and also predict the outcome with a high degree of certainty.

The message is clear, but the "f no" part seems unnecessary. If everything but a "f yes" is a no, why emphasize "f yes or f no"?
