- Amidst speculation and rumors that the Atlanta Falcons were going to be fined multiple draft picks by the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the Atlanta Falcons got GREAT news today. The NFL did not think the "tampering" warranted multiple picks, or even a high first round pick choosing to only punish the team by the forfeit of a 5th round draft pick. If the Atlanta Falcons meet the lofty expectations that their fans have, it will most likely be a late 5th round pick at that. While the Minnesota Vikings and their fans are salty because they were hoping to collect a draft pick from the Falcons, the Kirk Cousins tampering was greatly over blown. We live in a world where conversations across states, teams, and sports happens so much easier than when this rule was first established. Kirk Cousins is a good man and didn't try to hide any of his conversations with the league. We also hear more and more out of camp about the great mentor relationship Kirk is forming with Michael Penix Jr. It is a hopeful time to be an Atlanta Falcons fan for sure.

A 5th round pick is best case scenario for the Falcons. I was so relieved to see that. Honestly I was surprised that a seasoned vet like Kirk would make that mistake in the first place.
Probably would have been better for them to get their 1st rounder taken so they couldn’t take another QB 😂

@@thedailyhuddlesports 😂😂😂 25th pick means we made the playoffs… I’ll take that! Lol Tyler Allgeier will be due for a new contract so Milroe can take over his spot as starting running back and Bijan can rest him every other possession on first down dive plays.
