I remember my father waking us up to say goodbye because he's going to go the airport and fly to his work on another country. He rarely comes home because of his work and the plain ticket has always been pretty expensive for us. I vividly remember that early morning, I pretended to sleep so I wont see his face and avoid crying in front of him. Unfortunately for the 13 yr old me, he carried me to the car so I csn come to the airport and say goodbye there
Aw i feel uuu my dad also work overseas and been working there since I was a kid, we see him once a year sometimes once every two or three years and that last about one to two weeks before he flies back. I mean I get that he's working there for us and I'm grateful for that but sometimes I just wish I had a dad growing up, have normal dad experiences and ask him for advice or teach me some stuff. Now every time I talk to him, he's like a stranger to me because I don't really know him personally and maybe never have those personal connections with him until i grow up.
I didn't feel my time was wasted at all my dear. Wish all of you had stay together 🥺💔

I don’t know why, but I just suddenly burst into tears. I suddenly had flashbacks of my childhood and how i’ve always experienced being left alone . Near the last day of high school I remember telling my jazz band mates we would probably never see each other again. One of the girls said don’t worry, we’ll see each other again. That was 1999; I haven’t seen any of them since. (This was before Facebook) obviously much easier to remain in touch after fb.

I am a navy veteran and my wife and I got married 30 days before I had to leave for the middle east. Your exact cover of this song was our first dance song. I have listened to this song at least a million times. This song got me through some really deep lows while over there missing my wife.

I don't know if it is still connected to the song, but my dearest grandma, we called them here in our country "lola/nanay". My nanay has been by my side since I was born, she is a loving nanay, I remember when I was in high school, there was a party at our school, and it was late at night, I was on my way home but my nanay came to me just to give me the umbrella because it was raining.Nanay loves us so much, she doesn't worry about herself as long as we're okay, she's okay, she didn't even buy her reclining chair because we are more important to her, even though I know she really wants to buy it. My mom has been working abroad since 2015.we always have a debt, every month we pay it, the remaining money that mom sent us, that's our budget for a month, sometimes our budget doesn't reach a month, but there's nothing we can do, just be patient and eat what there is food ready on the table. That's our life here, but we still don't forget to thank God, and put smile in our face even the our life is hard. This song brings me back to the moment i sent my boyfriend to the. airport last March 2019. This song was played on the radio on the taxi on our way to airport. We've been LDR most of the relationship and parting again is never easy. Promised myself not to cry but I did coz of all song the DJ has to play, this song entered right at the moment.

I remember the time my dad had to leave to work abroad. I just remember how much I cried while listening to this song as my father left our home country for work.. I’m that “tough” girl actually, that’s why I didn’t told him I’ll miss him and that I love him so much. It’s just.. living with a strict parents makes you tough.. like you don’t want them to see you cry ‘cause they’ll only see that as “another drama” .. but aside that I love them..

yung babaeng niligawan ko for three years, lagi ako kinakantahan nito. lullaby ko to sa tuwing uuwe ako galing sa school at 7hrs na training. tulog nalang pahinga(nakakalungkot lang yung pahinga ko iniwan ako) pero lagi ko naman syang ina update at walang araw na di ko sya nakausap.
pero one day nag bago lahat, may iba ng gusto. ilang taon ko inisip kung saan ako nag kulang at kung ano mali ko, na realize ko oras lang naman kulang ksksksk. sobrang busy ko sa future ko di ko napansin unti unting nawawala yung babaeng gusto kong kasama sa pag tanda.
pero ngayon okay narin naman ako, naka move on na and focus neleng sa hassle. I know my worth :), sa mga iniwan dyern. iz owkay, make a standard for yourself. kung ayaw sainyo dahil sa kung anong itsura nyo o lifestyle nyo. let go nalang, u downt need to please someone to stay and u downt need to please someone to strive with you.
