Clarification for those wondering: When I fasten the seat belt, I use BOTH slots on the pole position seat. The seat belt passes through both, cupping my body correctly. The receptacle is bendable (very long from factory), you are able to bend it downwards and fasten your seat belt appropriately. Some people are asking why I don''t send the receptacle through the other slot, if you do this it will be jamming into the side of your thigh. Just send the the seat belt through the opening, and fasten on the other end of the seat, this seems to work just fine. Thanks for watching!
I guess another reason brey krause mounts are somewhat friendlier for this platform. I was able to have the seatbelt receptacle sit just inside of the inner slots where it wouldn’t protrude on my legs and still be easy enough to just clip the seatbelt without snaking it through. 🤷🏻♂️
In my opinion, the Sportster looks better in the M3 & the pole positions in the 1M
We shall see what I end up doing, but for now I like this setup

I have all black leather pole positions in my m345. Excellent seats,works well enough for a daily. I added an inflatable lumbar support. My only gripe is getting in and out, but thats what you get with a fixed back seat.

Yes. But you don’t really buy poles for comfort. I would get sportsters if thats of importance
I alway think that getting in and out of the Pole Positions would get tiring on my e36. The sportster seem like a better choice for me "but" I need to sit in them for a while and find out. Good reclining sports seats are a limited market. Have you tried the summit racing seat or the sparco spx in comparison?
cool seats but, I think when I go to do this I want the Cobra Nagaro so you have more room at the bottom and closets match to M3 CRT seats! thanks for the video! I would probably to a black armrest and black rear seats but maybe leave the door cards.

Yes. You don’t want the receptacle inside of the seat, it will be digging it not your thigh if you do that.
With these seats are the rear seats still usable? Will and adult be able to get in with the seats full forward?

Hey jon the seat belt buckle is supposed to go inside the slot. If it’s outside the belt could cause you to submarine in an accident. Just a heads up
You do not want the seatbelt receptacle protruding inside of the pole position seat. If you do that, it will be jamming into the side of your thigh while you were driving the way that I have it right now, I’m able to put the seatbelt through the slot on the right side of the pole position and then the receptacle back and fasten it properly. That way it’s not Jami into the side of my leg.
Thats not true buddy, as Jon has said.
You can put the receptacle through the hole in the seat but for many people the seat is not wide enough to do that, meaning all you end up with is a bruised leg where its constantly putting pressure on the side of your thigh.
Having the Receptacle on the side of the seat does not matter aslong as the lower lap belt actually sits on your stomach all the way round to the seat, this paired with the OEM pre-tensioner will pull tight in an accident.
Also submarining, on the road, just isnt going to occur unless youre EXTREMELY unlucky, or driving like an absolute donut. To hit a head on collision, and end up under your seat belt after the pre-tensioner has gone off, you have to be doing way over 3 figures. Then for the track, you simply bolt on a harness, which i imagine Jon will / would do.
But yeah, that isnt always correct though.

Those Recaros are really nice! I just got Sparco QRT for my car. The getting in/out definitely takes some work. But I agree with you. The positives outweigh the negatives. I just couldnt pull the trigger on the prices for Recaros. Maybe once day. I love both your cars!

Fun fact, ABE stands for Allgemeine Betriebserlaubnis which roughly traslates to general use allowance (certification).
It's one form of a certification car and bike parts need so that you can legally use it on the streets in Germany. Without an ABE or ECE-No. you can't use it on the road over here.
Getting caught with a part without such certifications can lead to the terminitation of your car insurance and general use (allowance) of the car on the road. Which could lead to your car being impounded or you'll just have to give the keys to the cops, and the trailer the car back home or something.
Germany is such a fun place
Also one pole position stool costs around 900€ with ABE, I dunno what they run for over yonder

You mentioned you are on the lowest setting? Is the height adjustable? It's definitely alot lower than stock?
The side mounts have multiple mounting points. It’s not easily adjustable but it is adjustable
