  • Arguably the best ever Kapital pieces of all time (or fan favorite, at least), the Boro 1st Jkt packs an insane amount of details in it and in this video I’m happy to show all of its details in full glory and close-ups and also explain the philosophy behind the jacket and how is it made.
    Let me know if you have any other questions after watching the video, and also let me know which of the outfits featured are your favorite from the bunch. Would love to hear your thoughts!

    Great review. Bought mine last April. To those interested, The video won't make justice of this jacket. It looks really insane in person. And just a quick history of the fabric they used on this boro. Kapital said this is the last remaining materials they used in collaboration with Louis Vuitton before. Great pick up bro. Congratulations.

    Awesome vid! Still got the jacket and wearing regularly? Should make a new check in video update if so and the latest outfits you style with it now.
    Also mind sharing your heigh and weight? Thinking I'd probably be close and also go for a size 3

    The first time I saw this jacket on mrporter I knew that this is masterpiece of art but unfortunately the price was so high and came with a size 3 up meanwhile I am bit skinny guy. I hope there are size 2 at least.

    Great piece!! Do you have any advice about how to keep Kapital pieces clean?

    • @KayceeChen
      @KayceeChen  3 роки тому

      Depends on what type of clothing! Which specific piece?

      @@KayceeChen I recently purchased the Bandana Quilted Jacket. Not sure if it’s safe to put in a washing machine or not. Thanks for the help!

    • @KayceeChen
      @KayceeChen  3 роки тому +1

      Nice! I have the purple quilted one as well. You can put them in the washing machine but just remember to turn them inside out, put them in a laundry bag/washing net and make sure you use the Low setting or the Softest/Baby settings on your washing machine. To be even safer, make sure you don't mix with dark colored garments (in case the color bleeds into your jacket). Hang to dry under a fan or just regular air dry after that and all good.

    What’s the retail price if you don’t mind me asking??! Trying to save up for one

    • @KayceeChen
      @KayceeChen  2 роки тому

      Hey retail is about $1500 I think but it's almost impossible to get it at retail unless you stay in Japan (and they still sell out almost instantly). Going market rate is about $2000 from what I've seen. Sorry for the late reply!

    Is the fit exactly the same as the bandana jackets? I have a size 5 in the reversible bandana jacket but unsure if I should get the same size for this thank you in advance

    • @KayceeChen
      @KayceeChen  3 роки тому +1

      They should fit more or less the same with the bandana ones. Here's the measurement for the boro jacket size 5 that I got from the official website. You can compare and see if they match with your current size 5:
      25.2" back length, 20.9" shoulder, 24" chest, sleeve length 25.6"

    Hey! Do you think it's possible to get this jacket and then get this altered from a tailor if needed? Seems like the measurements of the jacket might not fit my body, especially since the smallest size is a 3.

    • @KayceeChen
      @KayceeChen  3 роки тому

      Yeah an experienced tailor can definitely alter anything (except for maybe extending small size to big but yeah) but you might want to do some serious consideration though because of the complex nature of the design and its potential value plummeting after tailoring (in case you need to sell it for funds in the future).
      You can also try to find older seasons one like the ones from 2013-2015 with the blanket lining, they had size 2 for the older season versions if I remember correctly. Good luck!

    If you don't mind, how tall are you and what size did you get? I'm around 173 cm 72 kg and I am debating between size 3 and 4.

    • @KayceeChen
      @KayceeChen  Рік тому +1

      I'm the same height as you around 67kg and I was fine with size 3. You could get a size 4 if you want to have more room to style with layers I think.

    Do you think they have a team sewing each piece or run through a manu?

    • @KayceeChen
      @KayceeChen  Рік тому

      I can't say for sure but I believe they might have found a way to automate the process to some degree.

    • @KayceeChen
      @KayceeChen  2 роки тому

      Hey unfortunately Kapital's garments tend to fit smaller than the standard US brands so I don't think you'll be able to fit on a size 5 :(

      Hey that's random but thank you for the kind words lol! Not sure what is this called but I guess similar with the 90s wave of Japan/HK idol style? I think you could also search for "Korean split hairstyle" and should have similar result. Cheers and sorry for the late reply, I've been away for 2 months so just only checked this comment now.

    Kapital Boro 1st Jacket 2013 is the best.

    • @KayceeChen
      @KayceeChen  Рік тому +1

      I actually prefer the newer ones because of the rayon lining which is more suitable for all-year long wearing instead of the wool lining ones. But yeah regardless they are both perfect for boro lovers!
