I’m a ginnel type of guy but known to have said vennal, snikket or lane
👍👍👍👍
To me it’s an ‘entry’.
Never heard of this one 🤣🤣🤣
@@Stchristopherofatlantis Hi. It’s the passage way between terraced houses. Each ‘entry’ normally serves two houses.
Oh pinned …that comment must have been right up your alley !
I can't believe anyone would believe anything the BBC said.
😀
@@Stchristopherofatlantis Surely, it were t’vampires putting folks off Whitby. I trust you ate garlic 🧄 before you went? Then again you filmed in daylight so much safer…
🤣🤣
I believe them, yes indeed and I believe those nice BBC men who come round and knock at your door to ask if you have any jars of cucumbers in dill in your attic, to which I always reply...
I once knew an Indian lady,
She stood but ten foot high,
The colour of her hair was sky blue-pink,
and she only had one eye.
I asked her if she'd marry me,
and be my lawful wife,
but the only thing that she could say...
Was arrowah tit bum skray.
The nice BBC men then ask...Have you been watching Dolly Parton and His Orchestra this week at all sir? to which I always reply...
There was a young girl from Vancouver,
who shaved her fat bum with a Hoover
then after ten weeks,
of hoovering her cheeks.
Her bum just got smoother and smoother.
Talking of Vancouver, Ma cuisine préférée est la poitrine de poulet aux champignons sautés, sauce à la crème et pommes de terre dauphinoises...After which we all sit down & watch a documentary about the shortage of Thick Cut Marmalade in Grimsby.
yer i live in Whitby its never quiet not even January anymore
When have the BBC ever told the truth?
🤣🤣
A rarity!
@rontheretiredone busy whitby!
When have the BBC ever told the truth? I think it might have been last Tuesday when the BBC announced...Although we knew Hew Edwards was actually Alvin Stardust's Great Grandmother, but as far as we know, he was not bequeathed Jimmy Saville's tracksuit in his will.
I also think Barry Vinegar should get at least 20 million quid a year...I mean, how is the poor man expected to survive on just over a paltry one million? AND he writes such lovely poetry, such as...
There was a young lady from Woking
who couldn't stop Farting and Boaking,
Not being her fault
She tried Epsom Salt
Which thankfully stopped her from choking.
When have the BBC ever told the truth?...Only when they announce license fees are going up. But never want to tell you how much pay that sicko news broadcasters get and that they are on full pay when on "garden leave"
Who watches the Beeb anymore let alone any other terrestrial tv, viewing numbers must have fallen off a cliff edge as steep as those at Whitby…!
We’ve been regular visitors over the years & will be going again …
Same here, regular visitors and will certainly return 👋👋☀️
The trouble with buttons is they always fall off...and personally I can't believe it's not butter!
If the BBC says something believe the opposite.
Hi thanks for watching
The BBC never travel that far north anymore. It's adifferent world.
Fab place to visit 👍☀️
Fancy using this to complain about the BBC. I presume you watch Gammon TV - GB News etc;

We’re just leaving ruswarp after staying in a cottage. Whitby was packed everyday, the steam train was packed, I don’t pay for a bbc tv licence
Whitby is always busy and brilliant ❤️👍
Excellent. They are agenda programmers
As a local it’s definitely one of the busiest years we’ve ever had here in Whitby. Well beyond capacity but everyone is enjoying themselves and enjoying this beautiful town so happy days for everyone 😊
That is how we would describe Whitby. A beautiful town, we loved it 🥰
Someone from Whitby has phoned BBC and said can you put it out that Whitby is empty. Everyone rushes to find out lol 😅 I live about an hour from Whitby always there it’s always busy.
Yes it was busy for us too. Great place 👍
I went to Whitby 2 weeks ago, plenty of people and loads of motorcycles outside the station cafe!
We agree, It was very busy!!!!
Thanks for watching 👍
We went the end of July, it was rammed, but it was the Steampunk festival
Was there 10 days ago and very busy. It was Regatta weekend though and the start of Whitby Folk week 😊
As a man of Kent, Whitby is one of my most favourite places, love it.
We do too, fabulous!!
... east of the Medway ... me too 🥰
Absolutely adore Whitby - I’m a Hull lass originally so it’s great getting back to Yorkshire. Sister lives in Scarborough, very familiar with the beautiful beaches & scenery. I’ve been up in Scarborough last month - everywhere was heaving which is great!😎🍭🍦🍻🌿🏊🏼♂️🏄♀️🌤️🪂
We love it too and can’t wait to return ❤️👍
Yey! ❤
@jstanders6973 👍👍
I live in Whitby there's always something going on - at the weekends especially - I live up on the west cliff and took my grandson for a walk to Claras for an ice cream in the sunshine this afternoon - it's Folk Week next week and Regatta next weekend I'll be in town enjoy the sights and activities ❤️
We love loved it, it was a fabulously busy weekend for us 👍👍❤️❤️
Thanks so much. It took me several years to get that "Star Trekkin' (across the universe)" out of my head, and now it is stuck back in there again...😢
It's life, Jim, but not as we know it, not as we know it, not as we know it; it's life, Jim
Bizarre. I spent a week in Whitby in June and went there for a day out last month, and the place was packed.
Yes it was packed for us to. We love it
My auntie had a caravan at Whitby and it was shared by the whole family. I spent ALL of my childhood holidays in Whitby and loved the place. Saltwick Nab was my favourite bit of coastline,
Hi. Thanks for watching. Whitby is fabulous. Have a great day
I don't believe anything the BBC say, Whitby is my spiritual place. Enjoy your vlogs.
Thanks for watching us Steve 👍
Hiya Clare, Andrew & your doggies.
Many thanks for sharing your time in Whitby. We've only just started watching your vlogs. A super look at a beautiful town. Many thanks, Gary & San x from Brighton-Le-Sands, Merseyside
Hellooooo. We are glad you found us!
Thanks for watching
Oh, too short !! Seriously though, looking forward to your next Whitby episode, beautiful part of the world. Thanks guys.👍
Hi June. Have you guys been? We had an absolutely fantastic time ☀️❤️
@@Stchristopherofatlantis Only once when the kids were small, so a long time ago, glad you had a fantastic time. We do appreciate you taking us all along with you.❤
We were there last month, it was quiet. It rained. But the place is undeniably beautiful. There was an authentic looking Spanish galleon moored in the harbour.
We ate expensive but lovely fish & chips and drank Abbey Pale at Whitby Brewery.
It's a jitty down here in Derbyshire
There's another great little craft beer pub by the railway station.
As motorbikers, we were happy the motorcycle ban in Whitby Railway station car park has been overturned. We will definitely be back to Whitby. It's a lovely place.
We will definitely be back too! Loved it.
Happy travels
I took my better half and two teens up to Whitby recently for the first time for the goth weekend. I left them to it & went off exploring. It lashed it down all weekend and I fell in love with the place. The weather made no difference at all. We all agreed we'd move to Whitby tomorrow if we could.
So would we! Great place with lots to do
Thanks for watching 👍

Hi Guy's,
Wonderful, it's still one of our favourite places 😊.
Udders, rudders, cows and ships 😅.

It was quite amazing how you found the brewery 😂.
Where was dracula from again 😕

I was born and bred in Whitby and it's a snicket. We also have ghauts which are narrow alleys running down to the Esk which were often used for smuggling. Also the concrete structure is the Woodsmith halite mine's lift gear. When finished the gear will be sunk into a tunnel to stop it disturbing the view. The columned building you point out is Whitby Museum (my mum is a curator there) and the domed building is a block of flats built by my cousin which isn't appreciated much in the town. I think lots of folk call it Xanadu or the pleasure dome;]
Hi 👋
Love it. thank you for telling us this info. Didn’t know that was a museum so when we head back will be sure to nip in.
You are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place ❤️❤️
Thank you for watching 👍👍☀️
@@Stchristopherofatlantis my pleasure. The museum is amazing as it's got amazing rare, local large dinosaur fossils, artefacts from Captain Cook and one off items like The Hand Of Glory. Well worth checking out. Also it's situated in Pannett park which is a lovely spot, which is well tended with love.
@repletereplete8002 this is great info xxxxx
We was in Whitby for the day a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely packed. Was very drizzly but didnt put us off, had ice cream and later a chip butty really really enjoyed ourselves. Wentbto Robin Hoods Bay the day after, really enjoyed that too... but steep though, gotva taxi back up 😆
Hi 👋 We loved our trip 😀👍
Sounds like a fab day and it was busy for us
Beautiful Whitby. We went for new years eve, they have bonfires and fireworks on the beach, it was gorgeous, i think it's all paid for by the locals. Then on new years day everyone was out on the beach cleaning up, proper community sprit 🥰

Eeek they are pretty but they are not good for the garden!

Hi new subscriber here and enjoying your vlogs … that field that was marked out is a pop-up campsite for when it’s busy as we stayed on it last week for Whitby regatta
Welcome to our channel, delighted you found us 😁👍
Loved your discussion about ginnel and snicket. Snicket for me. I belong to a running club in Shrewsbury and we often have a ‘competition’ how many snickets can we run down and finding a new snicket is always a joy. When on holiday I frequently send a photo of a snicket to the wattsapp group. 😊
Hello. Claire here. Love this, sending people snicket pictures is the kind of thing that I would do.
Thank you for watching
Happy running 👍☀️
Just so you know. There’s a Pennsylvania in England. It’s near Bath. Chippenham to be more precise. Now I know that the American State is far more famous than the one in England but it’s obviously named after the one here.
