I absolutely agree. Being a pro DJ for decades and in the Pioneer gear eko system, this should be a toy in comparison to the expensive decks I have been buying since the mid 90's. But it's not. I still favor the feeling of the buttons and jog's on the Pioneer gear, and I really do miss that they STILL don't have the CDJ mode, but for the rest and with 4.0, this is a remarkable piece of DJ gear. I recommend every aspiring DJ who want to take the step away from their computer to stand-alone gear to seriously consider this one. Even if you know that Pioneer rules the clubs, this is the cheapest way to learn the features on the CDJ-3000's without buying them for an arm and a leg, and you can still use Rekordbox to prepare your music. During the last year I got the Numark Mixstream Pro used for about $450, and a used Pioneer CDJ/DJM-350 setup for $200, both in pretty much unused condition. Perfect starter kit for anyone to get the grip of the both leading DJ systems out there. The Pioneer, while very basic is still Rekordbox compatible and of very high quality with build in recording features, is perfect to practice all the basic mixing skills, and the Numark to get the skills to use just about every new feature there is on any of the most expensive DJ gear out there. Even if you have to pay a little more than I did for both setups, I bet you'll get both setups cheaper than what you'll pay for a new Pioneer XDJ-RR, their cheapest all-in-one stand-alone setup.
That's your Opinion. I've Been a DJ For 6 Years doing Mobile Events and The Midstream Pro is best for me and my setup a CDJ setup will not Fit on my RockBooth and I Can't afford it and will never afford it. I am not a Club DJ but a Mobile DJ so it doesn't what Gear I use
@@DJCoolThing2018 Did you even read my comment? ...and for the matter, I'm a DJ, and I play all kind of gigs, including a lot of mobile gigs where I get paid 4-8 times more than I get in any club. That's where you can make money as a DJ unless you're a superstar. I have some of Pioneers ''Club standard gear'' but it rarely leaves my studio. My to go gear for the last 5 years has been the Pioneer XDJ-700/DJM-450 setup, which is only slightly bigger and 2 kg more than the N M P. When I only need to bring the players, the weight is 3 kg, and I can hold them both in one hand. I paid the same for that setup used like new for the same money a new N M P costs. Not too bad, but 8 times of 10, when I play in a club or event, there is already gear in place. And, I compared the N M P to the CDJ-3000's which is where you have to go to compare features, and then you have even more of that on the N M P. Why all the negativity?
@@dj-peterofficial2753 i did read your comment. You sound like a typical Pioneer DJ fan boy who is very closed minded and can’t even go out and try different brands of controllers. I know I have 2 different controllers from pioneer DJ the DDJ SR2 and the 400 and they aren’t any better than any other controller I’ve used. And with Reckordbox 7 they are going downhill with their subscription model. I’m not being negative. It drives me crazy when I see DJs like you dissing other companies they work so hard making these amazing products and you have the nerve to diss them like that. I personally keep an opened mind about things and explore other companies and products to make me a better DJ
@@DJCoolThing2018 Hey little boy. Calm down. I've been a DJ for almost 40 years and believe me when I say I know what expensive means. I still plan for years every time I need to upgrade my pro gear. When I started back in the mid 80's there were no beginners gear like today. You're the lucky one and have ho idea what it took to even get going back in the days. A pair of decks and an OK mixer was as expensive then as a club setup today, and to buy records enough to start playing took me and most of us several years to accomplish. When we just had everything lined up, the vinyl got obsolete in a day and to continue we had to start all over again, buying all the music once again and new gear as expensive as ever. I had a monthly cost for DJ pool CD's more than you probably pay in a year for your music today. Gear... At the moment I have Pioneer.... and Numark, Phonic, Denon, Monacor, JB System and more, Before I had the Numark Mixstream Pro I had the Denon Prime 4, but it was the first batch and not really up to the task yet, and it was too big and heavy for me. It is my full time job, so it means I use the best gear available to do it. I can't afford anything else because I have bills to pay every month. Because I depend on using the best gear i can't afford to be a fanboy and hater like you. People like you who can't even see a positive note when it's written just in front of you, but have to hate on something you know nothing about. i gave the N M P a huge thumb up, and all you could see was a Pioneer fanboy... I almost feel sorry for you. I hope you're like 13 y o or something like that and still have time to grow up. You need it.
