  • Demonstration of a Nauta mixer, a low-intensity, conical batch mixer specially designed for segregative, free-flowing powders and pastes. More info: www.hosokawa-m...
In this video, a 80 litre model is used to demonstrate the blending of extra fine granular sugar with an average particle size of about 400 microns, with iron oxide pigment that has a particle size of less than 20 microns.
The Nauta conical screw mixer is a pioneer in mixing technology. It is named after Mr. J.E. Nauta, who developed the first conical Nauta mixer in 1946. In 1982 Hosokawa Micron acquired the Nautamix company. Ever since, the original model has been under continuous development and kept being successful.
The Nauta conical screw mixer is a convective mixer with high mixing efficiency. It is gentle and guarantees the highest level of mixing accuracy without product distortion. It is especially suited for delicate products and processes where very accurate results are required and is synonymous with gentle mixing of large volumes of up to 100 000 litres.
