Is there a way to make it continuously fly the mission over and over until I take control again?
I want to put a plane on a repeating mission and chase it with a quad (I have multiple radios and goggles)

Yes, use the JUMP command on the last waypoint. P1= the waypoint to jump to and P2 is the number of times to repeat..

      A -1 will repeat indefinitely

Hello I know this is an older video and you’ve done newer stuff but I had an interesting thing happened today with my Helion 10.. I had all calibrations, compass and accelerometer done and accurate, took off, tested position hold and altitude hold and it worked great. Return to home was a little wonky the first time but then worked good the second time. I then flew a half mile away and initiated a return to home further away, suddenly the compass became completely backwards and started flying the wrong way! what would cause this? As a sidenote, I have this exact same highlight compass in my GepRC Mark Five working absolutely wonderful.

I've never seen that. Compass heading off by 180 degrees! I'd possibly log a bug report and attach the log files... best of luck

Good tut! My experience is the mission save /load fails often. Also stick command for load mission is 50/50. Nice that at arm it now gives “mission loaded”.

I've had the issue where the save to FC can often take two tries but never had the issue where the load stick command didn't work. Excited to see the new features to missions in INAV 4.0!

Hi nice video, I am planning to build a fixed wing from scratch and want to use the Matek F411 WTE as FC. I was wondering if you would know if this FC is capable of waypoints missions. I assume it is since it runs on Inav 4.1 or higher but I am new to Inav so I am not 100% sure.
    Greetings
    Robin

Once the mission is flying how do you view the quad mission on inav pc

    • @Painless360
      @Painless360  Рік тому

Not easily. You need some kind of telemetry back down to the PC. You could look at the options here - github.com/iNavFlight/inav/blob/master/docs/Telemetry.md - but things like Ardupilot are better for that with MAVLink support and a wide range of telemetry radios to choose from..

I love inav missions on planes but found it to be very sloppy with qwads unless you go very slow. Setting speed to 20mph inav appears drunk during missions.

Saw I can do jump and have it repeat circle. P1 to which waypoint it goes to if you want to skip like wp1.. and P2 is how many times it repeats. I set RTH after that jump 3 times. hoping returns to home after. this is first test. I tested Position hold and return to home.. all worked great a long with land. Weird thing is arrow was pointing wrong direction but it still turned around and arrow changed to point home everytime.. so weird..
I raised safe distance to 15000

It's great to see these new features coming in to iNav, it looks like they could do some work on making the transitions between waypoints smoother though. Are there settings now that could help with this?

Awesome. Been wanting to setup a mission for battery testing flights. So I don't have to Activision fly for 40 mins I can just watch. But at time was having issues with compass. Now I want to try again. I'll do a small circle for testing first.

I want to take a photo of an object at each waypoint. Is it easily possible to take manual control, after reaching thw waypoint, and then after photo has been taken, have it continue on to the next way point for gathering a photo at the next waypoint? Forgive me,but I've never tried INAV. I have only used betaflight and it doesn't help me.

At the moment the 'mission planning' part of the Configurator is basic and just gives you the distance. You can create missions using other tools and one of them might.. Best of luck!

@@k4x4map46 Ardu has a lot more configuration available for mission planning, with the right hardware you can get arduplane to trigger cameras for example. I would say ardu is a LOT more complicated, and unless you actually need all those features then iNav is a better option for someone just starting out. That being said, arduplane is very powerful and considered one of (if not the) best flight control software out there for autonomous flying. But if you just need the basic flight modes and waypoint stuff, iNav is more than capable.

It needs a compass as well as a GPS, is the FC supported in INAV? I bet it doesn't have a compass.. Best of luck!
