@@sneakycactus8815 yeah! At some point. Pretty darn busy with all my in real life jobs at the moment. I would love for more space to be able to make how tons, etc
I see they Solidproofed the shuttle undrafting with a notification. Very nice. Really like the ore processor, but I hope it will be boosted a bit. It looks like a brutal run might be very frustrating instead of challenging this way. The cargo bay looks very cool. A full cargo ship, like the Hull series in Star Citizen would be really cool, if we could store stuff in fixed cargo containers. I hope with space station mode we will be able to build cargo ships, and send them to trade. Imagine a prison transport ship in these cargo pods, and a mission to bust out a prisoner given by the pirates - so you detach the pod and run. The power grid I think was still the best in the first iteration with the node connecting minigame. The derelict merchant ship was a proper ship, but became a derelict for some reason. Cool way to gain some tech, I hope this eventr will be more frequent.
Yeah, I do definitely agree with that OG power management gameplay loop. It's definitely cumbersome, but I feel like it makes you a bit more involved with your ship designs! Also, YES TO CARGO GAMEPLAY
Power capacity nodes are used for boosting your power intermittently when you need high levels of power. For example, the metal refinery consumes a lot of energy. If you are only using the refinery here and there the power capacity nodes provide extra power the few times you’re using it so your ship doesn’t lose power. Anyway, just thought I’d mention that since even if it isn’t used for overclocking it’s still useful. Love your vids; cheers!
I currently have a floating square junk with 12 people on it. Just started again last night but I mistakenly thought the big update had come through. Haven't played in a while but nice to see some new features. Honestly, I think they should just scrap the lore. Humanity has entered the space faring age, multiple planets have been colonised. Mining colonies, farm colonies, capitalist planets etc. All of them have major space stations and trade activity. Outerspace is the wild wild west. Tons of ship and a few major factions. A lot more resources and some bigger ships. Game would be epic. Graphics don't really matter as the gameplay would be immense. But yeah, my 12man junk is a super work machine. 8-10man boarding parties on derelict vessels. Hostiles wiped in a few hours. Whole ship picked clean almost as fast. Decent farming operation. Doctors, researchers. Best money is definitely people / hubs in need of hyperfuel paying like 1200 a pop. See how long i can keep this hunk of mess going before I try boarding parties and raiding. Didn't realise human mean was contraband. Military alliance didn't like that lol
I do think I agree! It could be fun to run into a very populated area, with very low security or something, so there's a LOT of ship combat going on, and even a few BOSS ships out there in the verse hunting for you if you dare stray into such a spicy sector
Hello Julio here, as we already know you are very close to the developers of this incredible game that is space haven, could you send them a small suggestion. In the ship construction grid, increasing it from 54 to 55 lines would help solve a lot of problems regarding the placement of objects such as the air chambers. Thanks in advance for your attention.
Looks interesting. That ship had issues the first time you passed thru. Not surprised it's dead now. Might be best to mine other area without stations first. Then go where they're may be missions
Been watching your livestrams through steam and you got me hooked I bought it on my new gaming pc and it's so good even for early excess alpha. If your on the fence BUY IT! This game is so satisfying.
Recently Cosmoteer was included in a steam bundle with space haven, so I tried searching some gameplay and one of those were yours, I ilke your commentary. Might give this game a spin sometime later
On my ship “meats back on the menu” I always use the civilian fraction feed my crew 😂 they don’t have gun/laser turrets on their ships so easy pickings, simply kill em process em.. eat em… of course your crew need the stomach augmentation to stop the mental break downs…
The power management is completely overhauled. Not everything needs to be in a high power grid; only certain devices do. Plus, you can shift the grid around based on where the power supply device is. For some reason, I'm getting an error when I build a cargo shuttle dock. I wish the devs would have some deeper explanation of how they work and are implemented. Also, your smoke at the helm likely came from experimenting on enrgium as part of your research. Very common.
Hey nick! they don't have plans to implement second floors right now, as they think in the core design it becomes too problematic to track all the various issues, etc. BUT instead, they will be adding fighters soon!
I would hope that a base would be built because it made sense. Like som hub function for trade/service/tactical/political, or a sustained mining operation. As it is now in that you enter a system and leave it barren after 2 days, a base makes less sense to me. It will be interesting to see where the base thing will be going as it probably will represent a direction for the game. Will you want to build and run base or will it just be a necessary evil because you need stuff for your ship that require a larger infrastructure than what is feasible or desirable on your ship?
Yeah totally, I think that the original design was for base mode to be a different playstyle. So you load a ship based scenario or base, not both. And then I think their challenge has been in making base mode game play loops challenging/sustainable.
I've been enjoying alpha 16 a lot What happens if you go to ALL the clusters and there's nothing left for you to do? Also, mining is a minimal passive growth. You were skipping energy nodes ;)
once you get to the gaia world, you can either chose to land and you've won the game, Or you can choose to spawn in a new system with your ship, and you can do it all over again, but with your late game ship!
I just find adding all this new machines and or splitting some things in two eats up space too fast and it always felt to me that my ships could never be big enough
I really am amazed that space haven doesn’t get more attention than it does. For Early Access, it’s such a well designed game.
RWULF! hope you are well. And TOTALLY, such a great game with such a great life ahead of itself
@@SolidContentwould you be open to making a beginner's guide sometime in the future? i just got the game and ive yet to find a good guide video
@@sneakycactus8815 yeah! At some point. Pretty darn busy with all my in real life jobs at the moment. I would love for more space to be able to make how tons, etc
Because it's early access. Nobody should ever give ea games any attention, not until it's fully released.
Love this update, so much work they did. Never imagined that it would keep improving this much.
Right? LOVE the way this game is changing and evolving
This game looks so freaking cool! The music is pretty top tier too.
Yesss! I love this game, and the composer is the BEST. Paul Zimmerman
@@SolidContent yeah freaking killed it! Definitely gonna need to get the game. I'm excited to see where it goes.

OOooh I see, so it also helps you not need to build so many generators then, if your power spiked are intermittent.

When you do your stardate updates add the hour as the point numbers. Sounds cooler. ex... day 1 hour 22 = stardate 1.22
This is the real Star Citizen :- P

The (Mis) Adventures of the SCS Rocket Lolly!

Where the hell does Mrs Solid rank on your list if Age of Empires, SimCity 4 and Space Haven are your greatest loves?
Fourth
