The thing about this collab is that you can definitely tell it's filler to keep players busy for the upcoming Naruto collab. Especially when they're planning 7 skins for Naruto.
You DO NOT keep a series as legendary as HxH just as a filler. Even more so cz of the fact that all 4 of the heroes are hella popular. Whereas most Naruto collabs would be with new heroes which would most of the time get banned or people mightn't even try them. I'd say they could've earned much more from this than they can from Naruto.

They "upgraded" the yuji skin, revamped lucky box skins and they reverted back tbe blazing bounty skins, so if we complain enough we should be able to get a upgrade for ass skin

Harley has cards but he is short and has a wand. Gloo has gum like skills so maybe a good candidate. Gusion maybe the best one as he can retrieve his daggers a perfect fit coz Hisoka is an assasin
It's still unfinished though so hopefully they make changes to it and get ut right. Overall the Kilua still the best one worth spending diamonds on, hisoka on the other hand they ruined completely as that staff was utterly unnecessary. Kurapika is slightly above mid and okay for Julian but the skill effects aren't giving like his JJK skin. Hope they make changes to all of this when it reaches official server

I would say the only great one here is Gon. You actually get to see Rock, Paper and Scissors in his abilites so it is relatively faithful. My only complaint about the Gon skin is that he never uses his fishing rod even in his idle animations but hopefully we get an action emote for that.
I like it cause in the anime it's not super flashy so there's not much they can do to look it better than it is in the anime the effect is perfect so i have no complaint

Killua already a bit good, but try to make him dissappear when he dash, or more lightning effect. Gon can have larger aura. Hisoka.......Staff, really? Remove it like KoF Karrie removing her blades. Kurapika needs more effects. I think since he just looks a bit normal so a colorful weapon.

I don't see any problem at all, it's just Hisoka's staff are ruining it not the skill effects, but I do agree about the SKILL ICONS they're talking about. We can't dig into more effect(s), since the effects they worked are also shown in the film. If I'm not mistaken, Kurapika's aura on his chain are gray. Maybe that's why they recolor it? Plus, Gon's ultimate are kind of RUSHED, if they added more effect(s) especially when he is gathering all of his aura when doing Jajanken there is always a wind surrounding his fist, I've always think of this when they announced it. (If you don't imagine what I'm talking about the effects on the ultimate, it's also similar to Orochi Chris animation and effects, but Jajanken rock or paper but a single blow.) Funny enough since you mentioned HoK, theres a Detective Conan collab skin there which is exclusive to the Chinese server rn and they actually delivered a lot. From unique battle loading screen banner, unique kill pop up, and even an killed body inspection (you can literally inspect the body of the hero you managed to kill) and even Detective Consn exclusive minions for your lane. I actually had little hope that Moonton would deliver good skin for the HxH collab seeing the current M6 and also that one Nolan skin looks actually great but seeing this is rather disappointing.
