This message is for Dennis Kong...your message came to me but for some reason I cannot see it properly to respond in the normal way....so: If you want to edit an existing mullion profile, you have to do the following: 1. Expand Families in the Project Browser... 2. Expand Curtain Wall Mullions Category... 3. Expand the Mullion you want to modify (i.e. Rectangular Mullion)... 4. Right click one of the types (i.e. 1" Square)... 5. In the Type Properties window, change the thickness and/or profile you want to use (assuming you already loaded a custom profile to change). Hope this reaches you and helps you.
Hi Mahek....I just created a new video with much higher volume. I cannot replace this existing video without losing view count so I pushed up the new video....you can find it here: ua-cam.com/video/W82fHePrmBc/v-deo.html
@@DzanTa Hi I am having the same problem but I have not figured out how to solve it. That's not only in the corners but in the middle of the curtain wall as well where I want to have a continues grid. from both directions. I would really appreciate it if you could help!
Is there any way to nest/link a custom mullion profile with parameters of its dimensions to a curtain wall mullion family and then nesting that parameters to curtain wall family to control everything from curtain wall?
@@DzanTa Yes . I tried everything but couldnt find it. Thank you for the fast reply. I really appreciate. And thank you for your nice tutorials, I will absolutely subscibe :) Best Regards,
@@DzanTa Ohh okay. If thats the case. Nothing to do :( Sorry if I took your time. But thank you so much for your kind efforts to help :))) Such a great UA-cam Channel.
Hello Sir, thank you for this video, I want to create a full CW mullion with gaskets and all, I imported the detail from AutoCAD and I'm trying to save it as a family but I keep getting the same error : "Profile type contains no loops", do you have a solution for that? Thanks.
Great tutorial, clear concise and to the point, well done
Thanks!

YA SAVED ME
Hi, Thanks for the video
Im Having trouble to trim the mullions at cornes (the same situation as showed in 4:42), how can i get a bevel in the corner?
you may need to create a custom profile shape for that corner and swap it out

Usually, you have to make custom mullion profiles for each situation such as one for the corner.
Is there any way to nest/link a custom mullion profile with parameters of its dimensions to a curtain wall mullion family and then nesting that parameters to curtain wall family to control everything from curtain wall?
I do not believe that is possible
I will double check after lunch

@@mcan-piano4718 I checked to see if the parameters in a custom mullion profile are available to use/modify within a project but they are not.

Thanks.
You have to make the profile sketch using Revit line work. Trace the imported CAD file but only trace the outer line work. Keep the sketch simple.
@@DzanTa Thanks!
can you please guide me to make parametric mullion
