Thank you for this thorough review! I am new to photography and have a silly question - will the camera attach directly to the tripod or do I need to invest in a ball head?

      @@sarahjun8843 thanks for watching.
This will be a different answer depending on the situation. With the tripod in the review it has a ballhead. So your camera would need an “arca swiss” plate or L-bracket that attaches to your camera. Then the camera attaches to the ballhead via the quick disconnect.
Hope this helps and if you have any specific questions we can discuss via email if you want. jasoneldridgephoto@gmail.com
This way if you are going to make a purchase of something we can make sure it’s all the right parts etc.

Thanks for the video. Hudson Henry is selling these with the much better Acratech GXP-SS head on it and a few other custom options. I've been looking for sturdy smaller tripod for my Z6 and I do have your 100-400 too.

It is an excellent little tripod! I love watching Henry Hudson too. Thanks for watching and I’ll check out the Arcatech GXP-SS, they look interesting.

You didn't give a demonstration of locking the legs mid position/working position.

It works like any other tripod with those locks. It can be positioned at whatever height you need along it’s range. It works smooth and easy for that too. It is rock solid with no slipping at all. Thanks for watching!

Do you think they could have come up with more numbers and letters for the name? :)

Half the difficulty of doing a video on gear is getting the nomenclature right... Holy cow they are terrible at naming things! Thanks for watching!

@@jasoneldridgephotography25 represents the diameter of the thickest tube. Final 5 is the number of sections. CEX means it has a balancing head. They make many many permutations, so the naming structure actually helps once you’ve made sense of it.
