I love the show and all but I feel like it shouldn’t be possible to out run torpedos. Should be that hard to build a torp that can take multiple times the G forces that a human can take.
Space is alot larger then you think, the torpedos may be able to accelerate far quicker, but even they have their limits and can be dodged by skilled pilots. At some point as portrayed in the show you reach a point where no human technology could possibly enable you to dodge or escape a torpedo thoug so youre right in that regard.
@brooklyn. In the book, theres a line that says “Nothing with meat inside it could outrun metal and silicon.” But the point of running from those torpedo's was not to outrun them but to run to something that can take them out, if im not mistaken. Still, at ranges the torpedos are used it is possible that it takes hours for them to reach target that is heading towards them even at a constant acceleration that would turn a human into paste. Roci is rated for max acceleration of 16g. So a torp could probably do 3 to 4 times that on the low guess.
@@EzioDeCreeper exactly, in the books combat is alot slower at long ranges, it took hours If not longer for them to get to safety in the part of the book you're refering to.
they keep acting like 6gs is incredible. its a lot but its not THAT much. they have to inject that white stuff just to handle it, but there are real life pilots who can pull like 9gs
For a few seconds, yes. Sustained Gs are something else. It's the difference between picking up a 50lbs bag of concrete and holding it. Fatigue sets in. If you weigh 150lbs, your arms weigh about 8lbs. Under 6gs, your arms now weigh 48. So now your holding 2 bags of concrete on just your arms. They are sitting back in this scene, which helps. But your chest also is 6 times heavier, and you still need to breathe. Your heart still needs to push the same volume of blood, but it's now a lot more strained. It's going to be exhausting.
big guys black out a 6g (seen a doc where a big jock guy strained to take 6g so he could fly A-10's , but it ruled him out of fast jets mostly only small frame people can take 9g and then only for seconds women pilots would have an edge
this couple has the best dialogues
Oh, in the books they talk more. :D
Every time she swears i just can't stop laughing its too funny.
If you're hitting on me, I'm flattered.....Oh yeah!😂🤣
THIS IS MY FAVORITE SCENE IN THE ENTIRE SHOW, although all scenes in the razorback are my favorite but this one for me takes the cake!
I absolutely love the Razorback, one of my PCs is named after it and I clipped an image of it for my Discord profile haha.
Great show, and great characters.
great books!
i love these 2 and kotyar
Two awesome characters in an awesome moment.
Best show!
One of the best battle scenes
They should've film this in a centrifuge. Then we can see the contorted facial expression associated with high G.
Then they will have real stroke
You realise these are actors and not real astronauts

Let's not forget that Chrisjen, as Cotyar put it, is "really old".
6g is far more than any human can withstand for a long time.
People blackout at 3-4g.

In book, some ships do 7G over 2days longer... I love space.
