@d. nuzzio Omg yeah ditto. He screams a lot in the evening and we didn't understand why until now. Hopefully he accepts us as his family. Atleast he is not very territorial anymore. He lets us clean his cage and his toys without any issues. As you said, with time, he will stop screaming I guess. Regardless, I love him to bits 😍
@d. nuzzio Hey, we haven't taken him for the dna testing yet due to this COVID situation. Am jus guessing it's a HE 🙈 And, yeah he was hand fed and we still hand feed him at times and he puts up a drama before taking one sip of his formula. He is a Blue Monk. And, yeah that's my go to forum for any parrot questions I have. He is already yapping a lot 🤭 He is already imitating us somewhat but it all sounds jibberish to us ha ha 🤣
Glad to see quakers housed together. In nature they are colony nesters snd often build communal nests with pairs nesting in groups aka colony. That said the female may be jealous. Birds don’t get “3”.
No both of the cute little birds. I have two green quacker parrots. The male one is named leo and the female one is named coco. Sadly leo pecks her when she gets close to him or when she tries to eat. Can you please tell me how to make them in love and care for each other
@@Takinyakeys maybe keep telling them to love each other, no pecking , only kiss kiss and love each other. My birds do understand what I say and when I say these to them, they response with joyful sound, looks they really understand you . Have to repeat it regularly with patience and love
Quaker’s are wonderful birds, got one a year ago, I’m 28 years old, and he has been the best thing to happen to me. They are excellent birds. Very kind and patient birds as well, if raised right 🥲
I wish they weren’t too loud for appointments. I have a GCC and she has her moments too especially in the morning when she wants her cage uncovered and breakfast. I love my bird.
I've always heard that if you have a pair of parrots they are less likely to talk because they can talk to each other in bird language and don't need to learn human language to socialize. Is this true? Did you get the boy first? He talks quite a bit, but the girl doesn't seem to talk as much. Was she purchased after the boy? Or, did you buy them together?
I know how hard it is to have to baby quackers I have two blue ones but the boy won does not really like me much she bites me a lot I don’t know why I know why for ur girl I treated them both so well
There are many components to house training a parrot. One plan I found which succeeds in merging these is the Parrot Ploy Plan (google it if you're interested) definately the most helpful resource i've heard of.look at all the amazing info .
