Funny thing that Fireboy's original style was never Afrobeats. He had to remaster a lot of his songs to the Afrobeats style in order to break through the industry. Quite a lot of Nigerian artists have to reinvent themselves to get into the Nigerian mainstream market.

Its actually an afro pop sub genre take note of the kicks,this is one of the genres that gave birth to amapiano,its a southern african genre mostly done my south african,artists like Bucci does such genre,very similar to 'attension' by omarlay and justine beiber. Its south african hence qualify to be an afro pop genre.
