This is simply amazing! I have just started to use a phantom for my mountain wildcamping, but have never seen footage like this, very inspiring thank you :) Tim
Tim, thank you for taking the time to make a comment, I'm pleased you enjoyed the ride on my quadcopters. I watched your Tryfan video and enjoyed it a lot, great editing and amazing views from the Phantom.
Thanks again for your continued support, it is really appreciated. Some interesting subjects are in the pipeline, just need to find time to edit the raw footage.
Hello Sherman. No I have not done anything to reduce the 'fisheye' effect. This video was shot entirely with the GoPro 3 wide setting. With a gimbal 'fisheye' is not so noticeable as the subject and the horizon are in the middle of the frame where the effect is not so prominent.
Peter, thanks so much for your comment, I love the fact that anyone can build their own machine for a fraction of the price of an expensive ready to fly and get better results. This is what this great hobby is about, learning and solving problems; it rewards patience and a little know how!
Hey ycopter, Have you considered kitting your quad designs? I've been talking to London maker space and there is interest in folks who want to get into the hobby DIY. Let me know. JP (enivid on flitetest)
Hello Jean-Phillipe, a kit version of the Ycopter350 will be available soon, just sorting out website and final production details. Machined out of black 1.5mm FR4, this design is very rigid, ideal for higher power set-ups.
Another peice of our Heritage captured in HD, the light was wonderful, well done, loved it.
