This reminded me just how much more time goes into cooking and preparing a meal in the great outdoors, but it certainly always seems to taste better and be more memorable!
@@NathanaelBillings How do you stay in shape while on the road? I’ve done a couple of month-and-a-half road trips and that’s some long days sitting in the driver’s seat. Sure, I brought my mountain bike, but that’s not quite the same as having access to a gym. My meals were similar to yours, a good steak or salmon and some veggies (but probably enjoyed as much bourbon in the evenings as coffee in the mornings
Super enjoyable, like the way, you always keep things down to earth and calm without loud music and a lot of talking. Your photography is amazing. Keep the great videos coming really look forward to these!
Aww thank you so much!! I’m glad you like my style. I am trying to add more talking to get more comfortable with it since it still freaks me out a lot haha
Great little film! As always, I love the way you narrated at the beginning. The shots of the 4Runner and the fire while you were cooking were also terrific. Thank you for taking the time to make this. I always feel more relaxed at the completion of your films than when I sit down to watch.
Awesome shots! I could almost smell the trees and the rain and the petrichor and the campfire and the steak! What kind of candles are you burning? Were there bugs? Probably not, which is another awesome thing about camping in the rain!
I love the way you were like eh detour! And ended up at such a beautiful spot. It is awesome that you live this way though I’m sure it’s not easy. But in such beauty and away from all the nonsense. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Oooooo I hadn’t thought of that! I may try that out to start, the only issue is storing it afterwards since it’ll be wet and will probably have a hard time drying when I put it away
OVS-Overland Vehicle Systems make a 270degree awning. I have one on my Overkill Trailer and it really provides a lot of shade /rain/snow protection. Im sure they also make the smaller straight awnings too.
Thanks for sharing this, super relaxing to watch :) Im coming up to Washington in April for a week to go explore around!! i cant wait and even just these views that you show are so gorgeous and have me so excited!
Ah glad you liked it!! Washington in April is amazing, everything will be super green and the flowers and trees will be starting to bloom. Don’t forget a rain coat though! Haha
@@NathanaelBillings ugh that sounds so amazing 😭 I can’t wait! And I’m a fellow nomad/adventurer as well!Itd be cool to meet up and go on a hike or something 🤙🏻
There are 2 companies currently that produce 180 degree awnings that will fit your 4Runner - 23 Zero - 2 size of 180, but I got the large one, and also Free Spirit Recreation just came out with a 180. The Free Spirit is the lightest of the 180 degree awnings. I can't comment on the FSR awning, but they make good quality stuff. I have their EVO 2 tent. It wasn't available when I purchased my 23Zero. The 23Zero has been awesome, but is heavier. It has light suppression fabric which is great for sunny days and cutting the heat of the desert. 270 degree awnings will not fit the 4Runner due to how high the tailgate goes up.
Ah this is exactly what I was looking for, thank you!! I checked out the 23zero and I’m certainly gonna give it a deeper look. I think OVS also makes a 180 degree that looks good. Wish I could try them out or see them in person before I make the commitment haha

Oh man, it takes a long time some nights! But def always tastes better, especially after a long day in the rain

Thanks so much man!! Really glad you liked this one, felt a bit slower paced than my usual. Love hearing that it brought you come peace 🙏🏽
Love your narration by the way! Makes all the difference! ❣️
Thank you so much!!

Thank you so much!! Makes me happy to hear that. I was just burning regular candles from Walmart and there were no bugs at all.

Hahaha yes! Quite the detour that day. It’s not easy for sure but very worth it. I appreciate you watching!
keep doing what you do mate. I have followed lots of content creators from the beginning and you tick all the right boxes.
I really appreciate that, thank you! I will keep doing my best 🫶🏽
Listening to the crackling of fire and rain fall. Love watching your videos, from Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰
The best sound ever ❤️ thank you for the kind words!
Great video
Thank you so much!!
You can make your own awning out of a tarp and tent poles and save a bunch of money!

If there's a will, there's always a way, or that's what the saying is?@@NathanaelBillings
Very true!!

Get a 270 degree awning! Much more effective! And you can always deploy it in a regular 180 if there is lack of space.
I think I’m actually gonna go with a traditional awning to save on weight/space
Beautiful Nathan!♥️
Thank you mom!!
nice one, gotta love a 4th gen
Thank you Max! Love the 4th gen, best 4runner Toyota made imo
