    I wonder if the stern thruster was programmed to cancel the propeller walk from what seems to look like a left handed cpp. I hope they make that stern thruster stopped as it takes alot of the realism away if that stern thruster is working automatically. Also notice in zero pitch the propeller stopped this shouldn't be the case she shoild be turning with either slightly negative or positive pitch in pitch zero.

    The side thrusters are CPP just as the main prop. Their supposed to be spinning all the time for the most responsive effect when manouvering

      Ah OK makes sense now but main prop should still spin

    I worked on a ship, similar to this. This one is inspired by the Sietas Type 168. They are propeled by an MAK 9M43C, and ita very powerful. Looking forward to test this sim on my own

      Please tell me why Sietas 168 actually has a stern thruster? Not many feeders actually have a stern thruster, and there are even bigger feeders than this that don't have it.

      @@mhspotting9177 So, it depens on the one who orders the ship. Either you have a Becker Rudder, where the end of the rudder can turn until 85° if I remeber correct. Or you can install a, in comparison to the bow thruster, a smaller stern thruster, if you dont have a Becker Rudder. These options are for easier manouvering while changing the Terminal in the same port

    Look like the rendering of the waves is quite taxing, it's clearly doing serious calculations for the level of wave simulation. Militaries and contractors have amazing setups for wave simulation so the fact this can be done on a home pc is a feat on it's own. and as for the radar, you could reduce some CPU overhead by using the FILTER SEA option on the tip right of that pop out window. Such heavy returns it's constantly calculating and giving very slow refresh rates. If you can tune these independently you may have a much smoother experience. Great video!!!

      It's the Algoryx engine running the waves and hydrodynamics sonyes very CPU intensive as far as I know. Lots of optimisation to be done later I assume.

    Nice model. 👍🏻 But CPP props should not stop when changing from ahead to astern. Reason is CPP is used to give you better reaction time (in constant rpm mode when maneuvering) while having the shaft rotating at all times. The only time the shaft stops is when the gearbox is disengaged and the brake is engaged eg KaMeWa CPP. Otherwise you would vaporize the clutch and the clutchshoes.

    Can anyone play this already in early access? The whole pris a little confusing.

    Hello, as a deck cadet, I am considering purchasing a 6-month subscription. Would you recommend it?

    This is just dead boring! Monthly subscription and 2000's graphics!! No life onboard, no bridges, no lights, nothing...

    • @shipbuildingx
      @shipbuildingx  Рік тому +2

      I really hope they bring some of those features to it too. A hardcore ship sim will have a very small audience.

    • @windshearahead7012
      @windshearahead7012 Рік тому +3

      "life onboard" will never be a thing. Simply because this is supposed to be a ship simulator and not sims 4. They will not waste time and resources on that ever. What they could do is add interiors and then we could add moving people through the mission editor. This was possible with ship simulator extremes.

    • @shipbuildingx
      @shipbuildingx  Рік тому

      I'm personally not looking for a sims like life on board, more an extension of the simulation, so that for example a trip to the ECR is needed to activate an emergency bypass pump for example. More of a ship operations sim. The other direction is something like microsoft will do with flight sim, with mission simulations, which ship sim extreme s kind of supported.

    • @thessalonician
      @thessalonician Рік тому

      @@shipbuildingx Some sort of life onboard won't make the sim Sims... See MSFS for example, which is a simulator that can't be compared with no other.
