I love the way Ruthie sings "No you're not" after John does the "Sooner or later I'm greater than you". She laughs, and she's so believable. I can't help but laugh along too. This is brilliant.
I can just imagine the Torchwood team all sitting around a computer laughing and Jack comes out and he's like "What's so funny?" AND THEY'RE ALL WATCHING THIS VIDEO.
Ruthie Henshall went on to become a Super Star in the U.K. and did not do to badly in the US either. When she sings "It is like we never said good-bye" or "Send in the clowns" or "All that jazz". watch her facial expressions and tell me that she makes the line "you can't escape the feeling of the magic in the music" come alive. She stole my heart right away form my GF.
Omg, I used to watch this video all the time because I loved their voices singing this song. A year and an introduction to Doctor Who later, I go to find this video again, see the name 'John Barrowman' and nearly have a heart attack! I KNEW HIS VOICE SOUNDED FAMILIAR!! :D
this is perhaps the best performed version of this that I've seen. these two have got the whole comedic timing thing down, especially in the earlier parts of this song. The singing is superb (though I've heard it sung better) but it's the comic timing and their chemistry together that really sells it.
Dominique Thomas Yeah I saw this video years ago but the thing is that I just recently started watching the new Who last semester (and finished, waiting for the next season) but I re-watched this just because and I saw Jack Harkness XD
I was listening to this on my iPod while going to the supermarket. Then I heard John sing the line: 'I can do most anything' and then I couldn't stop grinning like an idiot.
Y'know, I watched this video about 3-4 years ago and had no idea who either of these people are. And now, three years later, I can hardly contain my excitement!
This is the first thing I saw John Barrowman in and it was years later before I knew who he was from Doctor Who. Then I learned he could sing and realized I had seen him in this and he did Broadway. It was definitely a journey 😂
I watched this once a long time ago before I started watching Doctor Who and I just wanted to listen to it today and I realized John Barrowman was in it, made my day that much better.
I saw this before I started watching doctor who, and when I realized it was THE Captain Jack Harkness singing one of my favorite songs.. I almost had a heart attack.
This may not be my favorite version of the song, but Ruthie Henshall and John Barrowman put in so much personality, I can't help but come back to it.

I don't know why, but I love it. o.o
How come everything I like ties back someway into Doctor Who. Seriously.
Because its Doctor Who. Nuff said.
Everything AT ALL ties back in some way to Doctor Who at this point. ^^
i feel like (in my case at least) in at least 90% of the cases the reason is john barrowman

Because it's 53 year old show with some of the finest cast and crew in the universe.
