ABO Blood Group System (AB0 Blood types & compatibility explained)

- Hey Friends,
Do you know your own Blood Group? What is a blood type?
And what happens when someone with Blood Group A donates erythrocytes (= red blood cells) to another one with Blood Group B?
The ABO Blood Group System is just one of many classifications.
Please keep in mind that other factors (e.g. Rhesus Antigen) are of importance when considering a blood transfusion!
Cheers
Henrik

ABO system of blood measures the? Antibody or antigen or both
Good contents
If a donor having O blood group. Then Anti A and B both antibodies are present in plasma of that donor then how that donor give blood to A and B blood group patient?? kindly give me reply quickly
Thanks🎉❤
You haven't talked about one more blood type, the golden blood which is considered
My blood group is A v+ means.. I didn't know how?
Thanks for that explanation, my blood group is O

Why does antibody B from The donor with blood group A not react with the antigen B on the RBCs with blood group AB?
When blood from a donor with blood group A is transfused into an individual with blood group AB, a few things occur:
The recipient's blood group AB means they have both A and B antigens on their RBCs.
The donor's blood contains anti-B antibodies, which would react with the B antigens if they were present on the recipient's RBCs.
However, in this case, because the recipient's RBCs also contain A antigens, these antigens will bind to and neutralize the anti-B antibodies before they have a chance to react with the B antigens. As a result, there's no significant reaction between the donor's anti-B antibodies and the recipient's RBCs.
In summary, the presence of A antigens on the recipient's RBCs prevents the anti-B antibodies from reacting with the B antigens, leading to no observable reaction during blood transfusion between individuals with blood group A and blood group AB.
@@finnhighfield2164 thank you so much dude
B positive ❤
Waaao😍😍
Universal recepient😌
My blood group is O+ I'm from Sri Lanka 💐
I still dont undersatnd how O is donated to to A
The reason A is nlt doneted to B becuz B has antibody of A
But O also has antibody of A right? Then how come O wont cause coagulation?
Only the blood cells are donated and not the serum which contains the antibodies
@@123456789111ab thankyou for the explanation 💜
It's just amazing
Thanks!
My blood group is B+.
Also I'm from India
So

Thank you very much I'm group 0
My type is A+ I am in the UK Great video!
sir which type of blood is the most donorable blood in the world?
O- or O+
O- dude
O- will be the universal donor as they lack all 3 antigens (ie. A,B, & the Rh antigen)
while the Rh antigen of O+ will react with -ve blood types that have antibodies for Rh and will cause coagulation
Never give up always B+
O+ , thanks now i understand blood groups, but is there a difference in + and - like can o+ donate to o-
o- can donate to o+
O+ cannot donate to O-
But
O- can donate to O+
You sir are fucking goated.
Good fucking yard
The video deserves a clap👏
A+ ❤
My blood group is AB positive 😊
I have AB+type
I'm B+ too
I'm B+ from INDIA 🇮🇳🤞
Sir next topic can Be:-Meselson-Stahl experiment
Wrote it on the long list of topics
My mom is B and my dad is O, but both me and my sister are B. So we know that both me and my sister must have only one B gene.
B is a dominant gene, while O is a recessive gene. An individual with two alleles, B and O, will always result in Type B blood.
B is from your mother

Mine is AB+
Hello my blood group is AB negative so tell me the effects or what happen to me
You can receive from anyone
you can receive blood from anyone except donors with O positive
My blood group is.B+
Can B tranfuse to O?
No
@@henrikslab why
@@moustafaalbatran5304 If we speak about a "whole blood donation" here is what happens:
B donates blood including red blood cells that express the B antigen. O however has red blood cells in their system that have no A or B antigen. Once O would receive the "foreign" red blood cells, antibodies against the B antigen would attack the red blood cells of the donor.
@@henrikslab oh so if anti B binds to B antigen will cause blood clotinng?
@@moustafaalbatran5304 This is likely to happen, yes
Sir if O have anti A and anti B why he can give to type A and B why don't the anti core don't attack the blood cells of the receiver
Blood Type 0 is the universal donor (Persons with Type 0 can donate blood to everyone):
Red blood cells of this persons do NOT express antigens A & B...
If a patient with Blood Type A receives this blood, he has Antibodies against B...
but since the Blood contains no B antigens, this is no problem!
@@henrikslab so now us with group group 0+ who can donate blood to us ?
@@candychocky8399 People with the same Blood group (O+ and O-) can donate blood to you
@@henrikslab so meaning it’s not good to have blood o because it’s difficult to find people with that blood group
@@candychocky8399 If you look at it this way it depends on the region... in Germany Blood Type O is extremely common, so it is no problem at all here.
