I LOVE how the whole Butter’s plot is just a distration for the true issue: people killing close relatives and blaming some Mexican/puertorican.
I love how South Park always uses this tactic of diverting attention from the real issue by having it as a secondary element of the plot, haha

What's interesting is that DNA evidence came out in 2008 that almost certainly exonerated the Ramseys. Matt and Trey actually apologized for this episode after that, and said they regret their accusations in this episode. Maybe the only episode I've heard about that Matt and Trey directly regret.
They apologized to Al Gore too, and then got mad when half the fans called them cowards for it.
