You should also have a +15 VDC auxilliary (STBY) supply with a 7805 for the +5 VDC 2. The schematic is the language of the engineers. No schematic ???? , Bread without salt ! 3. It is Useless, someone can not construct it if you are not giving details for the transformers , and the only info given is a ratio for the output power trafo. 3a. OUTPUT TRANSFORMER. I would recommend a EE41 ( pc40), Primary 21 turns of 4X0,6 wires and secondary 10+10 turns of 5X0,6 wires . (Both Pri & Sec preferably wound as LITZ wires) 3b.DRIVER transformer. No time to clalculate it now but the requirements are for output voltage between 12 and 17 volts for switch on the hexfets (IRFs), and the current required is at 250 mA for the ON state.. 4. When the SCR (u2 - MCR100) is triggered to on then it is PERMANENTLY ON and this circuit IS NOT A CURRENT REGULATOR BUT A Overcurrent SHUTDOWN CIRCUIT. Once triggered the +5 on the DTC input of TL494 will STOP output pulses. The red led indicates protection activated and the SMPS must be resetted, (off then on). DTC should also be used for Soft Start ( ref to TI SLVA001e.pdf obtained from Texas Instr Site). 5. For correct continuous Current regulation the second error amplifier of TL494 should be used ( pin 16, 15) 6. I remain at your disposal Dear Sir . Yes on a breadboard. It shouldn't cost more than $35 to put everything together.
Don't make one just get an ATX power supply, same thing. Then modify it.
@@felixcat4346 That is a lot of work. Its better to make one because modifying an ATX PSU is practically replacing a lot of components.
