    According to some restaurant business advisors, a restaurant must charge a minimum of at least three times the cost of what it takes to produce a meal for the restaurant to stay afloat. Cost includes all aspects like food cost, labor, rent, utilities, insurance, etc.. The meal should have not cost the restaurant more than $43.33 to produce. If a customer eats more than that the restaurant is in trouble.

    I know if you go out to dinner,and order lobster,and they charge you market price,I imagine it’s going to be at least $30,or more,so all you can eat plus all of those side dishes for $130 isn’t really bad.

    Thanks for doing the breakeven numbers for us Danny! IMO looks like its worth it if the quality is good but @ $130 probably only go try once or go every year or so.

    • @dannythemedic
      @dannythemedic  2 роки тому +3

      I think the quality is fine, it was neither the best lobster I ever had nor the worse, I think the only way I will go back for $130 is if I have several twins or clones and we all wear the same clothes and swap out with every 30 minute "cigarette break". LOL its kinda pricy.

    My husband and I don't make a lot but we are celebrating our 10th anniversary next year so we're planning now. It's all about preference and experience. This isn't your Chinese take out so it might be a once in a lifetime or only special occasion. So for me it's worth it. 😊 $115 for a wagyu burger....different story. 😮

    There is a location in midtown in Manhattan. I’ve been a few times. It’s called Crab House. They have 2 options. One is a lobster all u can eat, with a ton of other options u can eat all u eat as well such as the steak and crab legs. They also have shrimp, crabs, chicken, vegetables, and more. It’s like 40 different things on the menu. The second is a seafood all u can eat, which just means u can order everything except lobster. The lobster is $115 and the seafood is $80. I’ve been as recent as January. They bring your menu and u check off what u want, and I’m about 5 minutes ur food will start coming to your table sizzling hot. They come back as soon as something looks close to finished and ask if u want more. You can literally order however many times u want. You also get 2 hours to eat. I have like 3-4 rounds of food every time I go with time to spare. Service is really fast. It’s definitely worth it. The only catch is you and whoever u eat with have to order the same option. One can’t choose lobster and the other seafood. They also let me take food home. Last time I took 4 tins of food home and they only charged me $15 more. Very dope for a romantic date spot. Booth are very private. I highly recommend.

    Tung looked disappointed-No Chicken feet! I agree with you, but for a New Yorker to fly to Las Vegas, hotel room and transportation to the Palm lobster buffet; this is a bargain. As you said everything is relative. I hope they gave you unlimited iced tap water, for $130.

  • @dextruthbtold9716

    I’d say stick to just the crab version of the Buffay menu which is only $70 and includes everything the $130 menu includes except the three lobster dishes. I think if you go that route then it’s definitely worth the money as long as you go with a big appetite. So maybe that would give you another reason to go back to the restaurant once again, and I create another video of content focusing on that as the subject matter. The food looked amazing though.. $130 definitely is a lot but $70 is so much more manageable and agreeable at almost half the price. They have way too many crab dishes to not get bored😊

    Great video, Danny! The lobster looks yummy, but I don't think I would pay $130 for it. It would be cheaper to go to a Las Vegas all you can eat lobster buffet. I heard there is an all you can eat lobster buffet in Southern California at an Indian casino that is much cheaper than that. The lobster Mac & Cheese looks great...AND the scallops looks scrumptious. Don't blame you for getting seconds...I would!!!

      about healthy, lobster and other crustaceans are unique is that they must be alive when you buy them, (hopefully very alive and struggling) and you need to kill them just before cooking. they must not be dead because the bacteria inside quickly gets out of control after death, meaning a threat to your own health if consumed.
